I think colby is like 1-2 hours away from the loaf. Dunno about bowdoin though. I am going to apply to colby and bowdoin.

There are a bunch of kids I know from Bates that ski the river. Its also where the ski team trains so it cant be too far. Go on mapquest and just look that way. As for going to college out west, the skiing may be better out there but the colleges sure arent.

for the most part the northeast has all the best colleges.

i was looking at colleges out west so I could ski but after realizing the quality of schools out west vs the ones out east, im probably going to stay out east.

don't go to colby.. its all about basket ball... if u want to ski go to University of farmington... it may be small but its closer to any of the other schools in maine.......

UVM is like within an our or so of most of the resorts in northern vermont, and there are a lot very close to it. Go to uvm, it's a great (hippy) school.

Yea sorry i didnt say it right i guess, the east coast does have so many good schools, the rest doesnt have as many but there are still good ones, and the skiing doesnt suck completley like in the east
