Im intrested in attending a college in WA where is a place relativly close to a ski mtn? Is spokane?

if ur a poser your a real skier....
 
try looking at schools in seattle there are lots and snoqulamie is just an hour away, if you go to school i spokane your goign to be about 2 hrs away froma good place like schweitzer.

Western Washington is close to Baker and it's easy to cross the border to Canada...

yeak, WWU would be good for baker, or anywhere in seattle would be good for snoqualmie or stevens. not much near spokane (except for mothafucking LOOKOUT, represent)

I'd say WWU would probably be the best though.

UW, Seattle U, Puget Sound U, Western and WSU are all near ski areas (about an hour in most cases). From seattle, its 1 hour to snoqualmie (www.summit-at-snoqualmie.com), 1 and a half to Stevens Pass (www.stevenspass.com) and about 2 to 2.5 to Crystal Mountian (www.crystalmt.com). Mount Baker and White Pass are both a ways more, about 3 hours at least I would figure (althought I've never been to either during the season). East of the mountians theres Mission Ridge, which has no park and kinda sucks except on powder days. Theres Mount Spokane in Spokane, and then some others in Idahoe.

don't go to WSU for skiing though, closest is Lookout or Silver, crap in Idaho.

Don't go to WWU, Mt Baker gets way to crowded, you wanna be riding at Snoqualmie, Stevens, or better yet Crystal!

HAAAAAAAAAA, all you baker kids crack me up...'Don't come here'...heh.

So I went to WSU and skiied at Bluewood, Schweitzer and Silver. Don't even consider Mt. Spokane. The closest is bluewood and it sux. Schweitzer and Silver are like 2 hours. Silver has $199 college passes and a hotel in Kellog that is $25 a nite and doesn't care how many people you pack in. We used to put 5 in a room for 5 bux each a nite. But UW and WWU are definitely closest.

The winter sports club at any school is where its at. Ours went to Fernie, Jackson, Squaw and had a van going up to Silver like every weekend.
