i'm a junior this year and ever since the begining of my sophmore year i just stop giving a fuck and am really slacking off, my parents always preech i have to do good or i won't get accepted to any college, after all that preaching i'm starting to believe them, i pass most of my subjects on my rank cards but fail a few almsot every ranking period. I wanna go to school for film making and photography but am starting to worry. Is anyone else in my situation or have any of you ever been in my situation, what happened to you and do you guys think i'll still get accepted?

I try my best but some its its just so hard, you know. So i lissen to some emo and chill and things, its so so cool.

work your ass off well and do well on the SATs and you'll be fine. if you improve during HS, they like that.

If you cant get into the college you want go to a community college or somewhere else and do good for a year. After that you will be able to transfer most likely into a more prestigious or desirable school. Bottom line, if you can cut it in community college (which isnt hard) admissions boards know you can do well and will be more likely to accept you.

pretty much anyone can go to college, if you have at least a 2.5, maybe less, you can go to some universities. it depends how good of a place you want to go to. look around at colleges that are strong in your major and figure out how good you have to do to get in.

Take these words to heart. HIGHSCHOOL MEANS DICK. I literally barley passed highschool I never showed up I got suspended constantly and they pretty much passed me to get me out of there. I did o.k on my SAT's and got accepted into Marshall University. MY FIRST SEMESTER OF COLLEGE WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT LOOKED OR CARED ABOUT MY HIGHSCHOOL TRANSCRIPT. I've been to a couple colleges since and they only want college transcripts from previous schools since your a transfer student under admissions policies. Long story short, I fucked off in highschool so bad and now I have a very high G.P.A in college and it's looking like I'm gonna 'pan out'. Don't stress about the little things in life especially if your going to college for a photography degree. My friend is a photography major back home all he does is drink whiskey, sleep and occasionally goto class.

high school doesn't mean a lot.. BUT, most films schools are competitive as hell. I have a friend who did pretty bad in school and got into a good one though. still not sure how, but ya... make sure you put effort into the application if you're going to film school.

haha this is my junior year too and i have been slacking a lot too. it seems that with every grade i care less and less, and my parents become more and more dissapointed haha

 
play sports and be really good at them, helps amazingly, if you are good at sports and have a 3.5 with 1200 SATs, you can get into any of the top schools in the country

 
I worked my ass off in high school ,got into the college I've been dreaming of since I knew what college was, got many scholarships, but they weren't able to shift enough on financial aide so I am stuck at community college for 2 years until I get to go to PLU. I must say, getting into that college was the happiest day of my life, and i knew it was because of all my work.

Im your age EastCoast, and i have just about given up too. if it wasnt for my full ride, i would have quit college already. the only advice i can give is to do whatever makes you happy, not those you answer too. whatever that means to you, good luck in achieveing it.

My buddy goes to Full Sail. He says there are some pretty rediculous oppurtunities down there. He didn't have good grades in highschool, but put together a pretty crazy vid for an application.
