College thermo

I know this is a long shot seeing as this website is full of morons and little kids but here is a little thermo question,

a. An adiabatic turbine expands steam from 500 degree celsius and 3.5

MPa to 200 degree celsius and 0.3 MPa. If the turbine generates 750 kW,

what is the flow rate of steam through the turbine?

b. If a breakdown

of the thermal insulation around the turbine allows a heat loss of 60

kJ per kg of steam, and the existing steam is at 150 degree celsius and

0.3 MPa, what will be the power developed by the turbine if the inlet

steam conditions and flow rate are unchanged?

good luck. thermo is one of the hardest classes youll take. i took physics for engineering but i was civil so never did thermo. id find someone in your class or your professor.

Hmm...I could help you, since that's an extremely basic thermodynamics problem, but since I'm a little kid and a moron, I think I'll pass. Actually, I think it's you who is the moron for not being able to solve this ridiculously simple problem. Read the textbook, dumbfuck. Don't come to NS to get your homework done.

come on this is basic shit.

even little kids and morons could solve it.

but i'll give you a hint. adiabatic means there is no energy loss during the process. therefore all energy going in must be equal to the energy going out. that right there should solve your problem.

nah not everyone. i'm in college and a cellular and molecular biology and genetics major. Also, i only have to take physics and my experience in thermodynamics only pertains to chemistry/biology and not stuff like that. i.e. i'm no help here haha.

thank me later

cramster, typing your ? into google and getting solution manuals will help you if you use them the right way. otherwise you're just fucking yourself for the tests and the rest of the class.

and i'm pretty sure there's actually a lot of engineers on NS

this. no one is impressed that you made it to sophomore year of engineering...but for the record, being an electrical engineer makes you fucking awesome.

why are you being such a sensitive pussy, he didnt say every kid other than him was a moron so get the fuck over it and dont post unless you can help OP out

im in high school though so i got nothin
