College Students with online homework systems.

So im just wondering how many students have to do this, I currently have 5 different homework sights that I have to visit, I probably spend 25 hours every week just on online homework sights. While these things are convenient for teachers, they are irritating for students and the extra fees are absurd. 20-30 dollars per site on top of tuition and books is really fucking annoying.
This term i havemasteringchemistry.commasteringphysicsmasteringbiology(fuck the entire pearsons company)onlinechemlabs.commymathlab.com

Dude, I feel you on this one.

This semester I only have masteringbiology.com and my professor doesnt use it much.

Last semester, my chem professor was DEVELOPING a fucking online book/homework site and we had to use it.

I had a calc class that had online HW too, it was so annoying putting the equations in.

In both calc and chem, I felt like the online aspect got in the way of me learning anything through the homework. Entering an answer and having it be wrong because something wasn't in the right format really pissed me off. Chem was even more outrageous, and I am confident that if we worked on paper like normal students, I would have done better.

yeah ive been using chemistry OWL online systems for 4 semesters. most of the time you get unlimited tries so you just input random guesses; if its wrong you go back and do it till you get it right. you dont learn anything

i have the mastering chem biology and some program called course compass for stats. it sucks bc at first our professor was never clear about rounding and the site didnt either

sucks. also i always get the rainbow circle of death, which rapes me on a daily basis while i do my hw.

Don't even get me started on this bullshit. We use mymathlab.com at my school, and even though we're the guniea pigs, it's all we can take. They don't even offer standard math classes anymore. I suck at math SO much, and all I'm doing is slacking. Thank god I got surgery so I have some sort of excuse. But online anything is a piece of shit. I'm all about going to class and all I have are online classes this quarter.

only webassign, but our school also has a online system that alot of classes use. I actually like it, but its free

fuck mastering_____ anything. putting in the correct answer 986 different ways and still being wrong because of wrong syntax is the most obnoxious thing ever.

MH FUCKING CENTRO FUCKING SHIT COCKASS FUCK.

its for my spanish language class, its not an online class but the book we use for the class comes paired with this website and shit. the website is poorly designed and sucks and our teacher assigned us a fucking BITCHTON of homework on it, we never discuss it in class, its just all due at the end of the semester and its SO FUCKING GAY because i know im just doing it for no reason, its not helping me learn SHIT.

the teacher also assigns a pretty fair amount of homework on top of that, like, im ok with doing homework from class, but when you add daily on top of the stupid fucking online assignments it becomes alot of fucking bullshit.

on the other side of the spectrumi have a computer class that assigns online homework. we use some myitlab site or whatever, and it works great. its the only homework we have for that besides reading and it actually makes it a little easier to get done because the website has alot of tutorials and walkthroughs and shit. so when im like "wait...what the fuck?" the website is all "dude, no, you gotta do this" sometimes it glitches out though and wont let you answer questions, but that has only happened like two or three times to me and i always just talked to my teacher and was like "yeah, this is gay" and hes like "its chill bro"

I just had to deal with Wileyplus for a couple of my courses this year.Last year was brutal, Wileyplus Chemistry, Mastering physics, then webworks for calculus and linear algebra. Plus our rez internet was terrible so there were a number of times where the internet would die a couple hours before the assignment was due. Thank god I've never had the internet go down when I was working on one of my timed assignments, I always feel like I'm tempting fate when I start them.

I had to use MyAccounting and MyFinance labs and they weren't too bad. However, homework solutions were calculated differently than those we did in class, so i didn't take too much away from them.

I have to use Aplia for my Econ class. cost like 50 bucks for the semester on top of the cost of the physical book, which the teacher made us buy even though it is all available on the Aplia page. Shit sucks, I have to go through several graded online assignments a week before even going to class. I just stopped going to the class because I am forced to learn the material on my own in order to complete the homework anyway.

Will the real world require you to deal with the struggle that online HW presents?

Will the final be online?

No- so we shouldn't have to put up with this bullshit.

when I was in HS, my teachers had us submit the papers multiple times. mine came back 100% plagiarized and I was like wtf? turns out it was all taken from MY PAPER. idiots.

aleks.com for my math class. It sucks so bad and i am completely horrible at math because im an idiot and didnt pay attention in highschool.

i had to use wileyplus for Ap phys this year, and it sucks. My teacher changed it, but when it first started, it would do the same formatting stuff that makes it hard, along with some weird rounding rules (change from problem to problem without warning), but it would also change the values in the problem for each attempt. So if you rounded off a decimal, you had to do the whole thing again. He changed this after a couple months, but I still hate it. Also, our entire textbook is online and he assigns reading on wileyplus. This is the first year my school has done any of this, including running the ap phys class /rant
