College Skiing

Hey Newschoolers Community!

Sierra Nevada College, in Lake Tahoe has a freestyle ski team if anyone wants to go to college and still compete in some comps. And yes... they give out scholarships for it, might need to do more than some daffys and spread eagles though. They compete in college competitions but also send their skiers all over the country for comps. Check them out, they were voted #1 ski college in the country. Or, if you just want to go to get a degree near 12 resorts that works too. Happy summer and keep shredding!

It is good in art. It has a rad business program too.

It does have a high sticker price but they offer lots of scholarships that kinda help make it reasonable.

I visited SNC while I was in Tahoe and it seemed really cool. It was easily the nicest college in terms of buildings that I've ever been too. The average price for houses on the same street as it is like $24 million or something crazy like that. It's kind of an expensive school if you don't have scholarships but with a 3.75 gpa they said I could go there for around $13,000 tuition per year, maybe less with a ski scholarship too. I don't think I'm gonna go there though because the only degree that appeals to me there is computer sciences.

They were having severe financial issues not too long ago. I'm all for the creation of a new university in a skiing-friendly locale, but for those who seriously care about academics, this is not it. At all.

Like what? How to frat hard and drink kids to death with initiation?

Fuck the buffs.

On a more serious note, Reno blows dude. Don't get me wrong Tahoe fuckin Rules hard but I live in the bay and get a lot of days in but would never live in Reno.

What an insightful post. Just so you know Sierra Nevada College is about 45 minutes from Reno so I have no idea what Reno has to do with this.
