So I have to write an essay on college crap and why you should get a degree. This is what i have for one part.

People who get a college degree are smarter than people who don’t, since they have had more schooling at a higher level.



  1. If you get a college degree, then you will have completed the highest level of schooling.

    You will learn concepts such as calculus that you don’t learn unless you go to college, and as a result, will be knowledgeable in mathematics.

    ......................

^ I just need one more reason and an opposition to getting a degree, then a rebuttal for the opposing argument.
 
If you go to college then you will be seen as being of a higher social group and that you have had specific training in a field that you have shown interest/promise in.
I wouldn't say the necessarily smarter part though, many ppl could get pissed about that and i know i have learned very little since going to college except the perfect technique to shotgun a beer.
For cons against going to college look at the trades professions, you can make mad cash flow doing that.
Sry if this doesn't make to much sense im watch a movie right now and supa tired right now
 
you probably dont care but 1) and 2) are both pretty questionable. itd be really hard to claim people who go to college are objectively SMARTER than other people. id tweak that one a little. and for #2, i learned calc in high school so tweak that one too
 
from my experience, alot of people who are in university are STILL complete idiots. Some programs and schools are a complete waste of time and money.
I have no personal experience of Colleges, but The Ontario College of Art and Design (It's actually a UNIVERSITY now, not a college) is a shit house. Never go there.

Yea yea, i meant like, more normal schooling that most people get. plus you still get those in college, you just go for longer and to different classes.
 
Because our society puts an immense amount of pressure on people to go to college, and makes kids think they will fail at life without it.
 
^This. Good deal of the population claim virtuous reasons but basically just want to have it easy for another 4 years. Works pretty damn fucking well too. Meh, lots of reasons to go to college, reasons not to go to college as well. IMO that prompt is full of shit, but obviously you know that being in high school, and you cant do shit about it heh~

to improve your social status and become part of the elite, thats the honest answer. Or you can say to feed your never ending thirst of knowledge!
