i live in the east. and i was thinkin about going to college in utah or colorado. and other than u of col what are some other schools? what mtns? any info would be cool

Nicole

cu is the best university in colorado. why wouldn't you want to go there? the only other division one college is colorado state and it is an extra hour to get to the mountains from their, besides the fact that it isn't as fun or good of a school as cu.

In colorado there is Colorado College (expensive not recomended) CSU and CU (which are easy to find info on) Rocky Mountain colleges (on the mountains but not the greatest reputation). Western State is in Grand Junction and is a party scoolh. UNC in Greelley is ok a couple of my friends are there. I'm goin to Colorado School of Mines, which is an hour away from summit county. It is the toughest , hardest schoolk in colorado and a sauage factory. Yeah it blows but I wanna go to the best.

i want to go to Colorado at boulder

The only tent i'm pitchin tonite is... well you get where i'm goin.... OH! (Quagmire)

Frontflips are lame

Lets hear it for fat chicks!

we got four feet in three days over christmas in aspen. that shit was hot to death.

there really are no other options than cu. csu is a big step down.

Im probably going to Montana state or University of Montana. Its pretty sick out there. you should check it out. There a bunch of ski places real close.

I live in Montana, and i have two awsome mountains practicaly in my back yard. It takes me 15 min to get to Bridger, and like 45 to get to Big Sky. It totally kicks ass!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~marija-what!!!??~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, do you work here?
Univeristy of Utah is the best by far! Park City for killer park, Alta and Snowbird for everything else! And 500' of annual snow! And there all less than an hour away! Awesome dorms cuz they were made for the Olympics and everybody skis or boards, and most are incredibly good! Come here! NOW!
whoever said it doesnt snow in Colorado anymore obviously doesn't live here. It was fuckin dumping on the way to class here at CSU today, so shut the fuck up. Colorado is by far the best place to go for college anyway. Read up before you open your mouth Bakerboy
CO is where its at bitches
U of Colorado at Boulder is your best bet in terms of a balance between a good education and ski accessibility. School of Mines is a a really good school for a certain majors. Wasted (Western) State is just that.
CU is fucking awesome. Eldo 'sucky mountain' is 30min away and have a park going. Then there are all the other mountains like 2hrs away. AND the Xgames with ski and snowboard club will kick total ass this weekend.
Yea my neighbor goes to UCol at Boulder, its a big party school so I've heard. Another friend of mine goes to UU at Salt Lake and skis Alta and Snowbird a hell of a lot. I am not sure how they are on the education side, but fromt he skiing standpoint you can't go wrong.
go to WWU, baker is like an hour away and there are a few that go every day, or go to simon fraisur(sp) University in vancouver you have 3 hills and whistler within in a few hour drive. WEST SIDE TILL I DIE!
.:l[Tyler]l:.
and don't rub your scrotum against a power outlet
nosnjection....you must drive freakin fast because i live in sacramento and it takes me over two hours to get tahoe...
ne ways...i'm going through the same situation of picking a school that i want to go to, i decided to go to UNR because its about 30 mins from all the nice ski resorts and it's in reno so you get the whole city feel too
tyler.. BOISE STATE MOTHERFUCKERS!!
awesome bogus basin 30 min. away!! and a SHITTY education!! WWEEEE!!
Jon Simms and Brandon Becker are two pros that go to UofU that I know of! And no there is not that many mormons! Good parties too!
BSU sucks my dick, I lived in Idaho for too long! Bogus is ok but not really, you should stop being stupid!
it takes an hour and a half from davis to donner summit if you average about 70. It's about 2 hours to make it to the actual lake. UCD is a better school than any mentioned here, but expensive as hell for out of staters, just like CU. definitely worth a look if you can get in and can afford it
Look at the historical records of CO snowfall... Its been getting worse and worse. A couple years ago was the worst drought that CO has had in 50 something years.
How much snow does YOUR college town ski hill have? Mt. Baker bitch, eat a dick.
BAKER HAS THE WORLD RECORD FOR SNOWFALL. 1141 INCHES IN ONE FUCKING SEASON. THE SNOW LINING THE ROADS WAS 30FT HIGH - DUMP TRUCKS HAD TO DRIVE UP TO THE MOUTAIN AND BRING SNOW DOWN BECAUSE THE BLOWERS COULDN'T BLOW IT OVER 30 FT. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO SNOW A FOOT AND A HALF EVERY DAY FOR A MONTH? but thats okay, i'd rather go ski in colorado.
the white n word
Alpinecowboy84 is a fucking fag
U OF U, 30 min away from 7 sick resorts, one of the dopest parks in america, and the sickest big mountain, and the best snow...and its a decent school
the debate between CU and CSU will always rage on. CU is closer, and people who don't know better say ''CU is the biggest party school'' simply because someone wrote it in a magazine. (obviously the largest school in the state will have the most parties, but i've had more fun at CSU parties than any CU party i've been to) Boulder people are pretty fucking stupid though, and ft collins is a lot more laid back.....CU does have that advantage of being closer to the main resorts, but ft collins is only an hour away from cameron pass, which provides ample BC riding.
either way, if you're out of state you're going to get a rod slammed up your ass for tuition, and said rod will be wrapped in sandpaper if you go to CU.
i'd still recommend CU just from a skiing standpoint though, especially if you only ski in bounds most of the time
i considered utah but the whole mormon anti-marijuana thing was what made my decision. i can't believe TH's weedhead ass lives there now, i'm sketch about even bringing a bag on a vacation there
trust me Utah is the place to go. don't worrie about partying cause if you go to school in utah to ski you will meet tons of other people who did as well and you can party with them. pot is easy to find if that is your thing. and it is always dank. the school has a good business program as well as engeniering, english, and film. it isn't as good of a school as boulder, but it is so much cheaper. the dorms are tight and the ladies are so fine. Pc is only 40 minutes away. snowbird is 22 miles from campus. the good resorts are over an hour from CU boulder. there are tons of urban rails in salt lake city and the city isn't too big, but it is big enough. also pc's park is sick enough to draw mad pros in the likes of cr, mickel, tanner, pep, turpin, the list goes on.
go to utah.
check it.
hmmmm, thats funny to me. Where are two of the biggest ski comps held? OH SHIT, in the snowless Colorado. More importantly, I want my snow on the hills, not 30ft high next to me when I am driving.
CO is where its at bitches
but snowless is a pretty good word to use right now
The mormon excuse is just bullshit. There is a much bigger party scene and music scene there, its not super conservative liek you would imagine.
Dont forget your snorkle ~ Bridger Bowl
^ see i've only been to salt lake city, and the mormons are all over and it seemed ultraconservative......but honestly that wasn't what made my decision there's no way i could ever have afforded out of state tuition
Ski Wasted State and earn a degree in your spare time. Actually consider CMC for a year until you qualify for instate tuition. Breck, Steamboat,Aspen, Vail, etc.
The problem with UT or MT is at the end of the day
you're in UT or MT
I would really love to go to sierra nevada college for a while, just to finnish up my core credits...hmmmmm.......
Dont forget your snorkle ~ Bridger Bowl
Everyone out of state needs to chill about the whole Utah/Mormon thing. If you've only been for vacation or whatever, dont talk about what the state is like. Come live here for a year. Great parties everywhere, dank weed for good prices, alcohol kinda sucks, but thats what Wyoming is for. Skiing is better and closer than any CO school, and the chicks are hotter.
VIVA LA FRONTFLIP!
plus the more people who aren't from Utah who move to Utah means more people who aren't from Utah and that means less mormans per capita ie it is getting a lot better every year here.
Western State is the place to be if you want a small school that's not too hard. You can live in CB and drive 25 miles to school a few days a week. The best inbounds steeps in CO when the snow is good.....and when it's not there is thousands upon thousands of backcountry oppurtunities just outside your door. The environmental studies and outdoor rec. majors rival some of the best schools around too. Plus the summers here are fucking awesome. And now that Okemo has bought Crested Butte the park should be off the hook. It's already majorly improved this year.
Look... A mountain RAM. Staring contest. Me and you. You don't even blink do you? You win. You always do. Goulet.
man, colorado is fucking running out of snow now. in evergreen, its only snowed a 3 or 4 times, a few inches each time. the resorts are sucking too. CU is the best though
WWU is close to baker, whistler, grouse, stevens, alpental, snoqualmie, those other 2 resorts in vancouver (i forget the names) its a good spot for pow and parks
im mormon. ha but i picked a small college next to the canyons. or like 40 minutes from there. i would say you will definetly find a party in utah not all mormons are boring conservatives. cheap pass to the canyons is like 360 i think. im stoked. and i love skiing.
Meanwhile the cost of the animal - damage done to the pasture - is divided among all the herdsmen....... the herdsmen are getting nervous. putting more cattle on the pasture isnt helping anyone.
