at bishop's (oh yes, i go there too), there's toboganning on the golf course, SO MUCH SNOW (hopefully), pitas almost every thursday for dinner (yessss), and lots of fun all over. and really fun people. it's great. really.

 
We may not have the best on campus bar in Canada, but hell, every thursday, shit goes down. The beach party where thing bring in two hot tubs and a bunch of trucklaods of sand is crazy. Plus we have more than only one bar in Ottawa becuase half our population isn't the university (no offence thom). Our cafeteria is Saweet, not great, but saweet, something you'll appreciate after talking to kids from other universities. Actually, I don't know why I am plugging CU so much, it's not super. I just came here becuase of the free tuition, haha. But you can get lots of scholarhsip money and we do have a huge freeskiing population. We even hosted a movie premier for breateh and stop and high five with a rail Jam that had dave crichton, scott hibbert, and denise jawarsky(sp?).

so you ski, live in ontario, and wanna go to university...

Don't go to Guelph. You'll end up transferring to a BC university once you hear about the cheap Whistler passes, and your GPA will drop by about 50%. I know...I did it.

Go to Carleton if UBC and SFU aren't choices. Carleton is fun. Ottawa, as a city, is alright. Just be prepared to drink lots, cuz it's all there is to do there.

Bahahaha... or, you could call it the 'elitist snob' cult. Anyways, my family already owns a country club, so no thanks.

haha actually, it's not that bad. ottawa is pretty cool, decenet music scene too.

and whoever said they are thinking of going to ottawa u, i go there, and i would say go to carleton. people are REALLY clique-y, and carleton has a cool bus that goes up to trembs every weekend.

I have 2 friends that just finished photography at algonquin and really liked it. and if your stuck I have a room to rent in downtown ottawa...not too hard to bus to algonquin either

i wouldn't be able to liv ein a university town, and mcgill is in montreal... best city

but if that is not an option, and netiher is ubc,

then go to carleton. plus there is a bus taht runs every sunday that is lots of fun to tremblant.

and there are lots of skiers here.

to continue urging you to apply to Bishop's i feel the need illustrate what skibum_ said:'I don't know why I am plugging CU so much, it's not super.' where i say, as doesn December, that Bishop's kicks ass. im sure that Shaggy would also agree as whenever i post something about bishops he says something like 'i love that place'. We have beach parties too... we may not have hottubs or sand, but we have humidifiers and electric heaters. We may not have ottawa's numerous bars... but there are 4 in town, and we are next to sherbrooke (10 dollar cab ride) which is full of bars. We are a liberal arts school, its what we do. The biggest thing about bishops though is the atmospher. it is so increadable. This really is a town where everyone knows your name. I have not met anyone her who i dont like, or who doesnt like me. The only fights seem to erupt between Rugby players and football players (cause the rugby players rock and win everything but the foot ball players suck and dont win anyting, but sill get 100 times more funding than rugby...) and they never last long. in closeing: Justin sucks. Bishop's doesnt.

i would say to look at all the colleges and universities and take the one you want, it is nice to have some skiing to be able to do, but dont go somewhere you dont want to go just to ski, i mean, you are paying alot of money just to be close to a ski hill?? but ottawa is a awsome city, i am hopefully goin to algonquin. dont make up your mind because a couple of guy on ns wants you to go to that school
