College major survey (kinda)

Computer Science

I picked it because its something I really like to do.

I'm pretty lucky that software engineer is supposed to be the best job in america.

Might have been "Money" or "Fortune", I can't remember which one but I have all of both if you want me to find the article. lemme know.

If that's CNN's magazine, that's probably what I'm thinking then. My dad gets them all of the money/cfo/finance magazines at work and brings them home so I'm sure that's it.

I'm not in college yet (sr. in HS), but I'm planning on double majoring in Physics and Computer Science. I picked my majors because its what I like to do, and then I looked at jobs in the field to make sure I could get a career doing what I wanted.

Pick one. I don't know much about being a physics major (the one physics class I've taken was fucking hard) but CS is pretty demanding.

I might end up doing that, but right now, my first year and maybe some of my second is going to be pretty easy since I'm done with Calc 1 and 2, I'm taking AP physics and an Intro to Comp Sci now, and I dabble in programming and physics in my free time. I realize that it probably will be a a lot of work, but I'll see how it goes, and if necessary, drop one of them to a minor.

I can get a job right out of school sailing and make 60k+. But I'm only going to do that for a few years and then I'll proabably go back to school and get a business something. My shit is, "Maritime Transportation and Logistics".

The former - I know exactly what I want to do, so I picked my double majors around my career choice.

hehe and you're gonna BCOM a tool :-p

sorry just had to say that

Im doing Political Studies and Marketing seems to be a good combo

Bio major, kinda chose it cause its so easy for me and cause i can get a teaching job pretty easy too, and ya can teach anywhere across the country so maybe i can get off the east coast

english major because i don't really give a fuck what i do when i graduate. i enjoy reading and i'm a good writer so what else would i major in? i'll just be a freelance writer and ski all the time. i don't really care about making money.

Majoring in Environmental Science with a concentraiton in Environmental Economics then once i am done that degree off to law school for Enviornmetal Law. I chose it cause i like the environment and i know that i will find a job in that area.

Hell no. I want to be a research biologist working with Elasmobranchii, and I want to go to law school to study environmental law, as well.

right now i'm a psych major, which is probably the easiest and to get a job after college i'd need to do like another 6 years of schooling (no one gives a fuck unless you have at least a phd, mds are better though).

i chose it only to be in this class (my advisor just put me in it so i could take psych 152), but i really like the class so i might just stick with it. however, i won't have any real opportunities when i'm done.

you're a genius.

Choose what you like and as somwone said before, there's no fucking way i wanna work in a cubical. You need to LOVE your work. I'll study tourism, have small cabins, rent them and have my own garden and animals.

if you want to be an engineer but you don't want to be stuck designing electric circuits all day, go into geological or mining engineering and work outside.
