Hey,

I am doing an exchange program through my college out west. My first choice is U. of Utah becasue of park city. I need to choice 3 other campuses from this list. The only problem, I don't know if they are close to any kickass resorts. Here is the list, any help would be great!

Bisops in Quebec is sick for getting to lots of diff resorts quick. My buddy goes there. Other than that I'd say Colorado is a pretty safe choice or Washington state

Dude come to CSU (colorado state).. our snowriders club is gonna be sick sick next year. and it is like ~2.5 hours to any of copper, winter park, keystone, breckenridge, A-basin. Fucking cool if you ask me. But if CSU isn't yo flava then check out Boulder (CU) which is also tight, but full of hippees. I think CO is your only choice... stay away from those crazy Mormon's.

Msg me if you end up coming to csu bud.

or he could go to Utah and be a half an hour away from resorts just as many resorts as Colorado state, and the utah resorts are better...and plus utah and has the rail garden!

If we(skiers) are trying to copy snowboarders so badly, why then do we have two sticks under our feet when they only have one?

such a good call! half an hour away from everything skiing! BA HA HA HA University of Utah wins!

But Utah sucks. Snow is good, but whats he supposed to do when the lifts aren't open? Have fun with the locals? Not likely. Might as well stick his thumb in his ass. CO is the place to be. and if an hour an half or 2 hours is that big of deal go to school of mines an you'll be 50 mins out.

hey I go to university of nevada reno and there are a lot of mountains close by.. squaw, alpine, and my home mountain heavenly. I don't know... just an idea

While the lifts are not open, I will be out and about skiing some urban shit! If that gets old, it is a city and a college town, there is plenty to do, trust me. Utah will be insane, remember guys, I live in PA!!!! So anything with snow is like heaven!! I would chose CO, but it is not on the exchange program. I am restricted to that list becasue of the exchange program.

UCD isn't very close to the mountains if you want to drive two hours everytime you want to go up.. i think the closest mountain is Kirkwood

shit ok maybe not then is there anything out by mamoth or lake taho? U.C. at boulder was my first choice, that's close to some shit right?

umm...im not really sure what the closest university is to mammoth, but to tahoe would be UNR like I said.. but you still have to drive a little ways. If you were looking at a community college there is always lake tahoe community college and shit like that

^ yup, unrs a pretty sweet school, reno's nothing special, but its only an hr from tahoe. if you want more of a college town, chico is like 3 hrs from tahoe, not ideal, but still kind of close? i would reccomend unr....

~welcome to squawllywood~

pimp that shit

boys are mean, throw rocks at them...

University of Utah WINS! I said that already... Whoever said there isn't anything to do when the lifts aren't open obviously doesn't live in Utah! Dowtown is sick, there is huge partys, and hot girls everywhere, mormon and not mormon! Come to the U, you won't be dissapointed, trust me, I'm already here!

Codyody, I'm from PA too, and I go to UNR. Tahoe is so sick, so much snow in the mountains. It only snows a few times down here in Reno, but there are some fun rails around while it does.

If I were you, I'd skip cali and go to either Utah or Simon Fraser in BC. Yes, SFU is on the list.

Now, that being said, I'm wondering why you aren't forgetting about skiing and going straight to Hawaii instead.

I will be there for the 2005-2006 School year and Ski Season!! I wanted to go next year, but I missed the cut off by 2 days, those bastards! Anyway, thanks guys!!

Go to Portland State. They got ski/snowboard club and if you get people together you can take school vans to the mountain whenever you want. That is a good deal.

Well if CO isn't on your available list and you want to ski by ALL MEANS go to Utah. Orrrr go to someplace warm and ski the water ramps, visit Utah or CO over your breaks, and visit whistler over the summer :) thats always an option.

portland is a great area, I love it there. Its not a terrible drive, but if you are going to be in school, you should look at resorts that are a little closer. That way you can ski half days if you get out of class early, ect.

Dont forget your snorkle ~ Bridger Bowl

Western Washington Univ. close to Mt Baker (world record amount of snow), Snoqualmie Summit, Stevens Pass, tons of backcountry. Good area to be if your gonna be driving to comps and what not

ALASKA PRIDE

^ yah i just found out about that one but it was to late to apply, im goin to northeastern in boston probably, but i should be able to get up north a decent amunt, ill just head west after i graduate i guess
