FSU got more 1st place votes this week than Bama... how does that happen

I feel confident in bama, oregon, fsu in that order. I think fsu looked good enough to get the 3rd spot. I think OSU will get in. Its really hard to overlook what they did today...and they completely dismantled a good wisconsin team. They held the wisconsin running game to virtually nothing which is crazy.
My gut says OSU because they are OSU. I think their tradition gets them in because people unknowingly reward tradition. Sorry TCU and Baylor but i wont be surprised if its any of the three. I wouldnt even bet a dollar on this

I still think the SEC is hands down the best in terms of depth. Nobody even comes close to them. Bama, aurburn, LSU, Georgia, Miss st and ole Miss. Would anyone choose Baylor to beat any of those teams? I wouldnt even though the likes of LSU, Georgia and Auburn didnt have stellar seasons.
The Pac sucks aside from Oregon. Big10 sucks aside from OSU, big12 is just meh without Texas and Oklahoma. Dont get me started on the ACC

Regardless of the system, no one is ever going to be completely satisfied. Look at the March Madness tournament. There are 68 teams in it and people still grumble over bubble teams that don't get in. The same goes for the football playoff. Four teams is a great start, but hopefully it expands to 8 sometime soon. Considering how long they delay bowl games (Jan 1), there's no reason they can't have a more extensive bracket. What's great about the human element is that with computers, FSU would be the #1 team in country despite the fact that they're winning games by field goals against bad teams.
That said, what a screw-job for Baylor. They beat top ranked teams and took down TCU in their own conference and couldn't get in. The fact they aren't in over OSU is a travesty.

I think the committee got it right and have the 4 most deserving teams in it. Should be some fun games to watch.
I don't know why everyone always says an expanded playoffs would be impossible. Shit makes no sense. Look at the FCS (or Div 1 AA). They have a 24 team playoff with the top 8 getting buys. I went to an FCS school and the playoffs were AWESOME. Every game kicked ass and was so fun. And best of all, no one bitched and moaned about their team not having a fair chance to make a run.
There are 11 conferences in the FBS. 11 conference champs get bids (highest 8 ranked get buys) then have 13 wild cards, most of which would come from the big 5 conferences.
Just shorten the FBS schedule by 1 game. Get rid of the FBS vs FCS week that every school plays these days. Bama has no business playing a school like Wofford, shit is retarded.

Florida state beat notre dame by less than a touchdown, and Miami and Boston college, and Florida and Georgia tech. And they really shouldn't have won the Notre dame game. Their entire season they had one blowout. They aren't this crazy good team that's shocking everyone they play. Consider the fact they are undefeated and still not good enough to be ranked 1 or 2.

if you had watched any of their games you would see that its just as duncan up there said, they are playing down to their opponents level, mostly in the 1st half. then winston comes out like a god damn superhuman in the second half and lights up the other team for the win. all they have to do is have winston play a full game like hes played the second half of most games this year and they can beat anyone in the country. when hes on they look as good, if not better than last years team.

First I'm a Gopher fan...and I'm pumped to watch them play New Years Day....first time since 1962! My dad hasn't even seen it happen.
As far as the national championship goes...I've cheered for Oregon every time they've had a shot over the recent years and still would like to see them win it.
A part of me would also like to see Ohio State win for the big 10. Though that would also kind of suck because it's Ohio State.

Lol at everyone dick riding fsu. I'm a huge miami fan so there is clear bias but after watching them play they are not a better team then any of the other three not meaning they are going to lose. They have an absolutely pathetic strength of schedule because the ACC is not a good football conference compared to the sec or the pac. Yeah they are undefeated but those wins are coming against poor schools not prepared to be beating FSU going into the fourth whereas the other schools were designed to handle that type of pressure.
