College Degrees

If you're referring to the US, that's pretty mediocre salary for a graduate!I go to university in Australia and we had a union presentation about graduate positions. For a public primary school and Independent (private) schools you get AT LEAST AUD$ 55000 per year. Plus benefits, medical, tax rebates, guaranteed holidays during term breaks. 2nd year out and your pay immediately rises to $61000. Judging that the US dollar and australian dollar are almost equal. It sounds like there's a huge gap in pay globally.
For relief teaching the rates are AUD$40 per hour or $240 per day for approx 6 hours. Im thinking of doing that part time since i will have the qualification when i graduate. Rather than get treated like crap as a lawyer for your first year out and get paid measly for strenuous work. I know someone who literally spent 3 hours teaching PhysEd classes and playing soccer with grade 5's. the other 3 hours were spent just chilling in the staff room.
I've met lots of graduates from Ireland, the UK and even the US who come to Australia to teach. Mostly to because there's HUGE demand for it here and you get paid almost 5 times than you would back home. So use your education degree if you have one and use it globally!

Thats prob cause you learn something k-12 in other countries, I didn't learn shit, American education k-12 is way behind most top tier countries.

im currently doing this at FGCU in florida, its tight as hell, UCCS also has a program that is really good and give you a business major fo your choice, along witht he resort/hospitality degree, where as i only get my resort.hospitality degree thru my school.

i wanna work for the PGA tour, but evne being a head or assistant pro is cool, iw as an assistant for my first internship all summer, ran shit at the course, its so chill, literally drank for free whenever at work, its tits. def reccomend it for anyone whos good at golf.

2 year degree in Fire Protection.

In all honesty, it doesn't mean a whole lot, until you get a few years in on a fire department, where it can mean pay upgrades and will help in promotions.

i hope to become a bachelor in Geology and perhaps a master in earth observation
then i'm planning on becoming a professional uiagm mountain guide, professional scuba instructor (already began the course) and hopefully a gnarly mountainman somewhere in austria or switserland (if i can get in ...)

how's that going? i'm thinking about dental if i can get in otherwise probably pharm rep if i can get a job.

currently Integrative Physiology. i just want to finish something and graduate instead of switching majors and schools again

B.S. in Industrial Design

its a shitload of very intense, self motivated work, but if you like to create, and are willing to bust your ass, it is probably the best career you could ask for.

BS in Architecture

If you haven't already been thinking about it, I suggest you choose something else lol it's an insanely intense program and you put in more hours of work than most majors. I barely have time to eat or sleep, or be on NS -_- haha not to say you can't go to school for that if you think it would be fun, interesting, or something new to try, but most people switch out within the first 2 years anyways

I'm getting a bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and management, and a minor in atmospheric science.

I'm going to be a commercial pilot. Degree (major) unrelated.

anybody in here going for optometry? thats kind of been an interest of mine the past week or so..

i should say, i'm just curious about it...

Not sure how old you are but its good to Finally see younger folk understanding this point.

Im in 3rd year Philosophy (w. English minor) and im sure as hell not gonna be a professional philosopher. its all about the thinking skills you get.

Oh and i love my classes too

I major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (all one major). I'm a junior right now, gonna go to grad school and get my Ph.D. and research plant-animal interactions, like herbivores and pollinators.

exactly, decided i wanted to fly after a year of college, so why change majors to aviation and transfer schools and not be able to transfer credits

who's your dad work for?

majored in biochemistry and molecular cellular and developmental biology. With that all you can do is do research or work for a pharmacy company as a rep, research, or work in green energy sector. But I am in Dental school now getting my D.D.S. (doctor of dental surgery). I love the school and the hand on part of the job. plus pay isn't bad. Starting salary is from 100,000 to 170,000. You will hear of lots of dentist 5 years out who make easily 500,000 and work 4 days a week. However my ski days the last two years when i have been in dental school went from 100 a year down to 30 a year. dental school is a 4 year program FYI. take time off shadow a shit ton of different jobs, get a crappy job to pay the bills and get back to school. I took time off and worked 3 different jobs at once, got instate tuition in Colorado and would do it all over again.

planning on majoring in advertising, double minor in marketing and creative writing.
i miss childhood.
