fuck, one of my books that i had at the beginning of the semester was like $200 and i just got $20 for it. they could of at least gave me a bottle of lube cuz i got raped.

who keeps their books? who sells them?

this simester i sold them. i usually try to find someone who needs the same class and sell it to them for more, but 10ish dollars cheaper tahn it would be for them to buy it used. so its like a win win, yay

Thats why you never buy them from the campus bookstore. I buy them online or from a local text book supply store. Then I sell them back to the campus bookstore and usually end up making money off the deal.

oh you can find many uses for old text books. They make great stands, stack a couple on top of each other and there you go. My modem has never been happier on top of chem, bio, and physics. But I'm actually saving most them for my bro when he goes to uni. I got 6 g's worth on scholorships this year, it paid for my tuition and books, so I could sell them back and make profit.

yeah i got fucked over because my spanish book cost 190 and my class had to wait an extra week for them to come in because of some new eidtion or whatever. then i drop the class and just went to sell it yesterday and they said there is a new edition out already. fucked up haha i got 89 dollars total. my brother got like 120 but he had friends getting like 175.

but in total my parents paid like 600 for mine

Well my parents pay for my books and i in turn got about 80 bucks back for them. Hello alcohol.

a math 100 book from 2 years ago will do the same job a math 100 book from today. It all depends on the class. And yes, volumes are constatly changing but unless your prof requires certain stuff from a new text book or the course material has changed then the old book will work perfectly fine.

yeah dude, i never sell mine back cause its not really worth it.  I end up selling them to my friends, it seems like i make more money that way haha
