Colin Collins 720 at Revelstoke freestyle skiing world tour

haha. mad claim but (minus the 7 and I took it smaller and stopped much longer before) I skied that exact line on day after opening. and saw colin at last drop. just all sorts of claims!

Not shit talking anyone, but other than Chickerings run and a cliff or two in Tabke's run did the top three seem a little lame to anyone. I know the face they skied a bit but was anyone there to watch it? Were the lines better in real life? Was there some unknown factors? From the vid it looked like a lot of traversing to mediocre cliffs with shitty landings.

Ps. How did Chickering get across that hairy slope to that one cliff? Ballsy! ...Hairy Balls!

conditions were shitty really punchy snow with lots of avi debri in the runouts. but the line that the winner skied was fucking insane, sure he didn't flash it like you see in most ski movies, but that was really steep and really technical.

may not look visually appealing but it takes a ton of skill.

Thank you all for the props and love!
To be completely honest, I did scope that line like 5 times, and therefore should have skied it much more fluidly. I'm bummed I paused for so long. and my turns were not great, but it was my first ever "big mt" comp and probably my biggest 7 off a cliff, so I'm glad I made it down, but definitely wish I had been a little more relaxed, things could have been much more smooth!

I was only thinking about before the 7. I also feel like he chose a pretty weak line in comparison to others.

well, those other lines didn't have many options for a 720. but i'm sure you would have crushed it even harder...

FWT isnt based on who can throw the sickest trick off a cliff. Freeskiing is a FREERIDE comp that also factors in fluidity, line-selection and aggression. The judges in FWT dont really like it when you side slip as you approach a cliff. The lines that placed higher hit bigger drops at faster speeds. Did they huck a 7? no. Good try at calling me out though.
