Cold Weather Gloves

Hey I’m looking for a pair of cold weather gloves because I think I grew out of my hestras. I have a pair of Kincos with water proof sealent but I live in New England and need something for those -10 degree days.
 
This is a weird post. For skiing I presume? Get mittens. Any variety of mittens will be exceptionally more warm than the glove variety. Kinco, wells Lamont, etc. If you really wanna go big, get some goose down but that's probably overkill
 
I’ve got burton gore-tex mittens with the removable liners. My hands sweat so bad (even in Finland at ruka) that they then turn a little colder from the water (but never actually cold). So I have to wear the liners when it’s super cold purely because of the sweat from my hands.
 
If ur willing to drop some cash on having warm hand you’re gonna want mittens get some Hestras and take care of them with the leather balm, they’ll last for every and keep your hands dry unless it’s absolutely pissing rain. If you wanna stick more budget but still great quality check out Wellslamont heard nothing but good things about them.
 
I gotta recommend Flylow Unicorn or Oven mitt. I can barely wear mine if it’s not below like 10 degrees because they are so warm. Plus they are $50 a pair.

I have a few pairs of mitts that I rotate. My favorites rn are my Swanys X-Changes. They are super warm on their own and pretty low profile, plus they have a hand warmer pocket on the back so you don’t have to deal with them being loose in your mitt (if you even need them). For slightly warmer days I’ll use my kincos. Most days I’ll also switch gloves at lunch, my hands tend to sweat and I hate having cold fingers so I almost always bring an extra pair unless it’s super warm. Always enjoyed any dakine gloves with a removable liner. They do the trick. Find them cheap all over. My hands always run hot thou and I tend not to wear gloves in the spring at all

Never been a mitten guy. Ever.

Y'all are retarded. The title is "cold weather gloves".... Weird title. Ambiguous in its application for use. If you don't know now that posts on this website aren't always about skiing or skiing accessories then idk. Regardless I answered his question.

I have 20 year old swany mitts and they’re the warmest thing I’ve ever worn
 
I like wells Lamont's. I go to farm and fleet and get a pair for like 30 dollars and they last and are warm. They have yellow palms and are black every where else
 
Swany makes good shit. I just rock kinkos now mostly because tahoe and WA arent that cold and i get free ones for work.

If you're really cild mittes csn be the move but ski poles feel weird. If no poles mittes might be the move. Fingers warm each ither and you can move them.

Also buying some hand warmers is always legit. Even if you dont use them it's noce to have in case that one pow day your hands do syart ti get cold gloves get wet, you're on a long tour or something.

Also if you put said handwarmers in and gloves get warm can throw them on phone to keep phone warm and battery alive. Also can split pack and use ine warmer between gloves or split pack with a friend.

Just nice to keep a pack or two in jacket or backpack. Sometimes that 1 day hits and your hands are cold and that can ruin the vibe.
 
go to fleetfarm.com. its a farm supply store, these mittens are sure to keep your fingers toasty. ive been rocking the budget $16 pair the last few years, but decided to move up to the $24 pair this year. these bad boys are legit, will last on a rope tow too.

I second this guy. I've been wearing my Swanys on cold days for 5+ seasons now. I rotate around my warmer gloves for whatever I'm feeling. Also key note here, get some quality liners. I have some thin smartwool ones but any are fine. It helps get the sweat off your skin and lets you use your phone on the lift w/out getting frostbite immediately.

I don’t have any experience w Kinco’s so I can’t give a direct comparison but Give’r is definitely a solid choice. I’ve used those mitts for last season and the beginning of this one and they’ve held up to everything - from spring days to -20 wind chill. Only downside is some of the insulation has begun to fall out of them so I’m a little bummed out considering how much they are. I just contacted customer support so hopefully they’ll send me a new pair or repair them bc they hype them up to last forever.

hestra box mitt. my mitten of choice skiing in -30°C (-22°F) this past season. also changed the wool liner once a day to stay warm from the cold
