COLD SMOKE FREERIDE 2012
A cliff hucking experience
...
So you can throw it down in the terrain park and slide a rail or two... WELL THIS IS NOT THAT! This competition is designed for you to show off your big mountain skills! Do you enjoy hucking cliffs, throwing down off natural features and having the best style on the mountain while doing it? Then this competition is for you!!
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
On Saturday March 24th 2012, UMEM and Backcountry Freeskier.com in cooperation with Lost Trial Powder Mountain will be hosting the first annual Western Montana Freeride competition. This event will be a single day, all day ski and snowboard competition at Lost Trail. This competition is designed to challenge the best skiers and snowboarders in Western Montana and the surrounding area to lay down the most challenging lines they can on a designated portion of the mountain in front of a panel of 4 judges.
The judges will have score cards for every athlete and rate every rider based on the following criteria:
-Style
-Aggressiveness
-Tricks
-Fluidity
-Creativity
Skiers and Snowboarders will be judged together. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be awarded to the top male and female riders.
For both male and female competitors:
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $100

Men and Woman, Skiers and Snowboarders welcome!
$50 to enter *riders must be 18+*
Open Registration starting at 8:00am March 24th, 2012
Please come ready with your insurance waiver filled out.

ENTERTAINMENT
After party: 4pm-8pm
Not only are the athletes the ones having fun but spectators alike will be able to watch the event for free while also enjoying a fun filled day of music, drinks, food, ski and snowboard demos, prizes, free giveaways, ski movies and much more!
PLUS after a full day of competition and music there will be an award ceremony held at 4:30. After all the winning athletes are announced we will continue the partying with a live Dj (TBA) and after party at the Lost Trail lodge until 8pm. And always remember drive responsibly!
