so of course this has already been talked about im sure, but i just saw this movie the other day.. and I was expecting it to be bad, but i really wanted it to be good, i gave it a chance. Unfortunately, it was worse than i thought. Aside from boring segments and skiing that we've seen 3 years ago, all it is a huge fucking advertisement, for nissan, every ski resort he visited, his yellowstone club, north face, ect. On top of that, the filming style is weak...real weak. I was thoroughly disappointed.. warren miller needs to retire eh

well...it WAS skiing from 3 years ago, cause thats when it was made, so dont get your knickers in a knot

HAHA..i just saw '13' yesterday and it was all skiing from like 5 years ago. I was really dissapointed. They need to retire. I'm gay.

I mean stuff we've seen in movies 3 years ago.. but yeah the base jumping is real good.. thats about it.. eh

Im talking about the cold fusion warren miller film.. i hope we're all on the same page because IMHO that movie was weak.. same stuff over and over again, and nothing new, originial, or really interesting. Although the basejumping was sick, thtas all i can really say

Yeah , fuck man, WArren Miller is a God, look at his cinematography, he's a genius in his shots, the athletes are great, and you're some newschool little prick who can't like a ski movie without a terrain park. Warren Miller's movies are the ones i go see every year at the premier and i'm never dissapointed.

The 10 Commandments can in fact be narrowed down to only two:

1) Thou shalt be honest and truthfull to the one who gives you nookie

2) Thou shalt not kill unless the invisible god you worship is different than the invisible god they worship

nothing heralds the start of the ski season like a good warren miller film. (and they're all good, this years espescially).

ah, who cares. at least you know to invalidated all his opinions in future. and you wont end up listening to advice he gives and regretting it. its probably for the best...

honestly i didnt know it was 3 years old. My school showed it the other week, stating it was the 'lastest warren miller flick'.. so ok, i took it as that. my apologies. Now to counter the outright attacks to my name, no im not a newschool prick quote unquote, and wtf rust you dont know me so don't make any assumptions about me until you've been on this site awhile and get to know me a bit.

The MAIN point im trying to make against this movie is that it was just a huge advertisement. This skiing was good, but cmon, Ski Movie came out around the same time, so did the Prophecy i believe, and both had much better skiing by all the athletes.

btw,

IMHO stands for In My Honest Opinion

ok, so i shouldnt have made such a sweeping judgement of. but come on. you just dismissed the film as pants when it actually some of the greatest sking cinematography there is - how many other folk use film cameras? it took this entire thread to discover that what you really didnt like was all the advertising. and yea that can suck a bit but it doesnt stop it being a good movie.

yah Ski Movie came out around the same time, and no, The Prophecy was out last year i believe. and there was ALOT that changed in that 2 or 3 year gap.

anyways, Warren Miller's style of filming isnt like MSP, PBP, L1P, TGR or any of the other production companies. he has a style all his own, and you should at least respect the man for what he's done.

cold fusion is from 2002 dumbasses last i checked thats less than 3 years and ski movie cam out before coldfusion not around the same time in fact it was year before it.

so that would mean that the skiing would be from 3 years ago....hmmm, didnt i already say that??

Yes, i do definately respect the man for his history and heritage, but im complaining after everyone's telling me how good it is.. meh...

i liked it, i own it, its cool, i liked the grind over the bus stop or whatever the hell that shack was, it was 3 years ago, hence the reason the skiing isnt todays style...

i love to ski, so should you, its fun, try it sometime
