jossi was kind of flailing in the air a little bit where as colby was smooth the entire time.

also, whatever happened to off axis spins??
 
they both threw huge switch tens with their own sick style and stuck it, how the hell are you supposed to judge that
 
fucking lame really, 90% of the hits were sw 10's they need to change the rules next year. Like JOI, you shouldnt be able to do the same trick twice
 
It was super close... but sice they were buddies I thought that maybe they would do something sick like a 540 contest cause 10 after 10 after 10 was just lame

After seeing Colby's run, Jossi should have thrown a switch cork nine, double true nose and he would have won.
 
I agree that they should not be able to do the same trick twice in a row once it get to the semi's and finlas. I know I would rather see some different tricks....but then again I can't do a switch 10 so kinda hard to say "Hey guys can u change it up a bit the, that trick is a bit over used tonight...yeah thanks."

Other than that I liked seeing Colby and Jossi finishing 1 and 2, it was a fun comp. They both did great and it was awesome NS set that up.

I was hoping they might have a real steez off: both do zeros in the first hit, both do corked spins 2nd etc, especially given that colby west said he didn't care who won after they made the final

yeah that was the worst us open big air ive seen, just really fucking boring and pretty much the only trick in the finals was a switch 10. jossi and colby's were way steezy and huge, but it was just boring as fuck to watch. i think the us open de-progressing or however you would say it. its gotten worse and worse over the past 4 years, they need to change how they judge competitions, or just stop competitions all together, cause they are just fucking up skiings progression.
 
that was boring....... granted evryone is a sick skier butt if your gonna do sw 10 at least go cork or do something new
 
i think that it is really lame that no matter how sick your trick is, if it's not a switch ten or a double flip it won't score you any points. tonight there were a few riders who banged out some seriously nasty tricks (hornbeck, rainville, gilberti) and they didn't get into the finals. literally every rider in the finals did a switch ten or twelve. gilberti did a cab nine with a sick two hand tail grab, rainville did a steezy cab nine mute/tail, and hornbeck did a huge cab sev tail grab tornado spin. and each of them stomped the landings sooooo damn hard. any of those three riders very much deserved to be in the finals spicing up the rather bland cab ten fiasco that has become every major competition.
 

Tonignt was a very bad night for skiing. A switch 10 mute grab against another switch 10 mute were the two tricks thrown in the big air finals. It feels like we were 5 years ago. Colby's jumps were big but completly unprogressive and unstiyish, and Jossi's jumps were even more unstylish.... Too bad taht we see anything new...
 
oh yea i was impressed by that kang flip 1080 that was sick

and yea i was kinda draggin at the end of it all those sw tens got fucking BORING!!!

prbly the most entertaining parts were the multiple guys doin it... specially that dub backflip
 
i'm stoked for colby. he always makes podium but for once he got the gold. hopefully its the first of many cause this guy works his ass off.
 
comps arnt just to keep kids like you entertained, like they dont compete just to make kids like you happy....they do what they can to win
 
bobby brown opened the comp with a kangaroo and didnt make the finals. every single person in the top eight trew a sw 10. EVERY SINGLE PERSON!!! ahh i turned that shit off for the finals it was soo boring.

i love how everytime theres a comp, people are always like......omg soo lame spin to win. Well its like that everytime and its not gonna change at these big hosted comps. thats y comps are gay
