Colapsable drop in?

you could just go off the seet of your pants..and just put hinges and places to attch screws

ya dude.. put some hinges in the middle like a ladder and it would be liget..my friend wants to make one out of a ladder..

It's actually really easy if you think about it... all you need are 1 hinge about halfway down each of the vertical supports (so they can fold), and two hinges on the ramp (one up top, and one halfway down), so that it can fold up as well. Then just put a couple 2x4s on each section that you can 'swing' into place so as to support the hinged points.

if you don't understand, just ask me i'll elaborate.

i have one thats like 2.5 - 3 feet tall, and the ramp just comes off, it doesnt actually have to be connected, jut a fairly large portion has to be attached.

I am almost finished with my drop in ramp, with mine you can adjust the height of the ramp and the ramp, platform and ladder up to the platform are all connected with carriage bolts so they detach for easy transportation. i will post some pics of it in the next few days.
