7/11 Coffee is still the best-ever though

Don’t know what happened but gas station coffee came around. Circle K freshly grinds a cup and it’s like a dollar or two

It's espresso and it's right up these with Lavazza

Espresso is liquid, not coffee beans. You make espresso from coffee beans. You're using ground coffee to make espresso, which is fine but personally I like fresh ground beans for my espresso.

im stoked that you do! i was just informing you, im a bit of a coffee snob so you can completely ignore my opinion haha

Not going to lie, I wouldn't trust you lot in North America to know a decent coffee if it smacked you in the face with a tyre iron. It's common knowledge that Australia/ New Zealand have the best coffee in the world. Allpress has given me some of the highest quality espresso. Not sure if you can get it on the other side of the world though.

I'm not gonna ignore it just had no idea what you meant, p sure they sell just the beans and you can grind it yourself, unless that's not what u were talking about

Ya man fresh grind tastes way better imo

Didn't know ppl did that, recommend me a grinder and I'll try it out cuz I drink espresso every single day

Dude it’s a deep dive on grinders, basically you’re dropping a band at least for a decent electric one. It’s the way grinding with a burr vs blade.

Manual ones are cheaper, used one for a while with an aeropress. But honestly, it’s just a pain. It either takes up a lot of counter space, or a pain in the ass when you need a morning cup.

Personally, what I found best for me, was during my weekly grocery run, I’d get enough coffee for the week, get the bulk beans and grind it at the store. It still had that fresh grind taste, without the hassle.

Coffee is better over in Aus (Sorry NZ - I give that one to Aus). Why do you think I make my own coffee? Lol

I do not like Bustelo. Cheap Cuban coffee.

I like Dallmayr Monaco, Trader Joe’s shade grown, and Lavazza sometimes. I really need to get a Grinder. Here’s my machine.

Is coffee about the beans or the place its prepared because bustelo is SA beans but roasted in NYC

My mistake. It became popular among Cuban expats. I was wrong.

It’s served at every fucking Cuban restaurant down here in south Florida and every little cafe. They love it.

Trying to tell me? Lol I have these for when I’m out and about and want a little pick me up. They’re not on par with the fresh beans but it works in a pinch when I’m not trying to spend $20 on a Starbucks.

Instant coffee is dog shit IDC what you say haha and an Americano at Starbucks is like $5, I'd way rather have that than some shit in a package that was processed 4 years ago.

I agree with you in general. Instant coffee is usually hot garbage. This stuff isn’t that bad. Taste pretty damn close to the pre ground version. For a little cup of Cuban coffee it hits the spot on the go.

I use the bodum brand burr grinder. Set the timer and it grinds the perfect amount into a little glass jar. Burr type grinders are more money but it is really a step up in the consistency of your grind than those cheaper ones with the blades

Starbucks hasn't served a decent cup of coffee since the 90s. You could make a better cup with some Folgers and a mr coffee drip machine from Walmart.

So many people I know in Finland have a moccamaster. Can you explain the appeal to me? Do you think it tastes THAT much better?

I 100% would purchase again and would recommend. I only wish I would have gotten one many years ago instead of spending all those mornings drinking sour or disappointing coffee. The MM makes utterly consistent coffee once you control for the other variables. It primarily does this by maintaining a specific high brew temp and diffusing the water across the grounds. I was not expecting it to be much better than my old machine, but it really does make really good coffee every single time.

Dunkin has awful coffee, sorry dude.

Oh i agree entirely. Cumby's is half the price and double the quality. Idk how i drank dunks for the past 4 years. I didn't realize i was drinking dirty dish water until i tried other stuff.

Do they have iced coffee at Cumbys? I drink Dunkin pretty regularly, and lately I've really been noticing how bad it is...

Yes! and it's way better than Dunks man. I got a Xlarge iced at Cumby's and it was 2$ plus 19 cents of tax. It was twice as good as dunks and you pour it yourself. half the time i go to dunks they get the cream and sugar wrong in my order.

There are better dunks than others but both Cumby's i've gotten iced coffee from have been better than even the 'good' dunks.
