CoC or Momentum? or...

Ok, so I live in Ontario, Canada, and I wanna go to a summer ski camp next year. My main 2 choices are Momentum and Camp of Champions, because they're in Canada... but, I might consider Windells.

Ok, so I think Windells might be better of the 3, but...

Which camp is better: CoC or Momentum??

CoC doesn't mention anything about trampoline or water ramp, Momentum has both... and Momentum is cheaper by $100. But are you saying the park and coaches are much better at CoC????

Yeah Momentum has both which is why I said if you really wanna learn a bunch of stuff go there.

CoC you can chill more and it's probably more fun because of the bigger park but Momentum you learn more.

And I think CoC does have a trampoline

Ok...

I know this sounds stupid, but could you possibly give me an example of a comparison between the number of features and quality of features??

i have a friend that goes to momentum every year and says its super fun. hes been learning mistys up there but broke his back. he keeps trying to get me to go but i dont have the dough. so from my friend's experiance id say momentum.

Ok, I just watched a few vids and...

is it just me or does the park at CoC look kinda bigger and look better?

Hey dude, we'd be stoked to have you come ski with us this summer. Research all the sites for the three camps, and make and opinion based on what you read and see. There are some drastic differences between us and the other camps and there are a few threads on here where we discuss those differences. Check out the following threads:https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/524387/https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/512277/
I actually grew up in Ontario, where do you ski?

Whistler is an awesome place in the summer! I really liked the vibe at Momentum the past few summers though. Have had alot of fun doing hot laps on the lane and staying in the village! Sad the season is coming to an end, but looking fwd to the summer...

I'd say it depends on what you want to learn. for me i was just starting on freestyle and so i went to windells because learning tricks like backflips, frontflips, and lincolns is more of a "just go for it" thing and nothing gets you to go for it more than one of the best pros. im not sure but id say go to momentum if you wana get more technical stuff like corks and rails an shit

nah momentum has a private tramp in the backyard of the hotel but they use the same water ramps. ill give you my opinion but i will be biased because i have been going to momentum for a few years now. first off, all of momentums meals are included. you go to a different restaurant in the whistler village each night which is pretty expensive if youve been to whistler. at COC you need to buy all your meals. also, momentum is right in the village and in a super nice hotel. COC is like 15 minutes from the village but they do have a bunch of shuttles just for them. they also live in a sorta university dorm type place. looks fun but momentums is way nicer. if you need to compare the park, COC is probably abit better but you get way less laps cause they share their line with the public park. momentum probably has the biggest jump on the glacier though in the very far lane. all in all, you cant make a wrong choice and you will have tons of fun either way. hope that helps.

Ok, thanks so much for the info.

Here's my situation:

I am planning to go during the summer of 2011, so here's what I am thinking. This season just ended :(, and so far I can do just 1, 3, slide box rails, maybe low rails. I'm not that good....

By the end of next winter season, i will most likely have sliding rails, switchups on boxes and 3s and stuff, 360s, 180s, probably 5s, obviously corks maybe rodeo, and etc. Going into a camp with that, will I be able to improve on like everything in Momentum??

P.S.

For those who have been to Momentum, like, what is the schedule? Full freedom? Any info on that??

Hey dude, You will improve at camp regardless of what your ability level is, if you come with the tricks in mind that you want to learn, listen to and ski with your coach, and commit to trying new tricks on the jumps, rails and in the pipe. We had one camper honestly say that they learned more in one week at camp than they did in three seasons on their own.
So if you're waiting to come to camp until you learn more tricks, don't. Learn the tricks you want to have stomped by the end of next winter, before that season even starts. Think of the tricks you'll then be able to stomp by the end of the next winter season, after you come to camp this summer.
Hope that helps!

i wanna go to windells but it says like you only ski every other day? thats so gay. momentum looks like more of a mougle place than a park ski place, COC looks dope but i dont wanna go into canada by myself on this whole trip even though i have a camp in canada... hmm o well. out of the three who does people like the best as an over all camp?

no u ski erryday, i went there it was sick, coaches are super chill and once you come back BOB will keep you going till bed, my friends go to momentum and say its super sick, i havent heard much about coc

Amen, I went to Momentum with only a 1, 3, and ability to slide a flat box...I had so much fun, and got over my fear of spinning (my 08-09 season ended with a big-ass hematoma), among other things I learned. You'll have fun no matter how good you are.

I think any camp would be sick, any camp you choose to go to you'll most likely have a blast,it's skiing in the middle of summer what can go wrong and I guarantee you won't go home saying you didn't have a good time.

out of all the camps i've looked at, CoC looks like the most fun. and i think since you live in canada you can get like $500 off any camp in canada through the government. if i end up going to a camp it will probably be windells just because it is the cheapest

this thread is him asking people for non-biased opinion. this is not a thread for camps to tell everyone to come to their camp so they can make money. i've lost a lot of respect for some of the camps that have posted in this thread...CoC's post was fine though.
