COC douchebag kids get done.

I wish I had the luxury of getting kicked out of summer camp.

Serves them right.

I hope they're on NS and see this thread. Really, it's not cool.

This thread makes me lol. Everyone hating on kids who have parents that work hard. I'm gonna hate on you because your parents worked harder then mine and can afford to send me to camp. Sweet, my dad works like crazy and he can afford to send me, i am grateful as hell for that. He has sent me for the last few years and it has been amazing every time. This year he offered to send me again, i said no. I tried to save up enough by myself but couldn't do it, so no camp for me.

What I'm trying to say is, just because a family has money, doesn't mean they raise asshole children. These kids at COC are an exception and deserve whatever shit comes to them.

what a bunch of queers. honestly. They get the opprotunity to go to something awesome like COC i wish I could afford to go and they go and piss in the gondola, make themselves look like fools and get sent home from camp early.

lol im sure a lot of kids on here have parents who COULD afford to send them to camp. they just arent spoiled brats and actually have to earn it themselves, which is tough

ya i agree if your parents have enough money to send you there thats goood for you but it doesnt make you any better than a kid who payed for some or all of it

im sorry but youre a fucking idiot for stopping. if you can go, then why not? fuck all those envious lil bitches out there.

thats really shitty. kids who get in the mindset that just because they can get anything they want they think theyre better then everyone pisses me off. its not so much the fact that their parents worked hard and can afford to send them its when they dont show respect for their parents, themselves, and everyone else. I could have gone to windells next summer but it would have been my christmas and birthday present and we couldnt go out west this winter and i probably wouldnt have insurance for my car haha. so i decided not to since i need a car, i wanna ski with my dad, and i like presents haha

i agree with that more than anything else in this thread, i think most every kid the first time at a summer camp or away from there folks, does stupid stuff because they can. What those guys did is really outrageous and upsetting though

I am extremely fortunate to be able to go to windells this summer. does it make me a rich ass hole?, i think not. My father does realestate in florida, and as you fellas know the market SUCKS COCK all over. and most of all in fl. But sinse i was busting my self in school he busted him self at work because he knew i wanted to go to windells and i deserved it due to how hard i worked and focused in school and sports. The saying by which my household lives by is "work hard, play harder". So the kids that pissed in the gondola and vandalized it, FUCK YOU!. it gives all kids who go to these summer camps a bad image. Given that our parents may make some money here and there it doesnt us assholes. You have to earn the title asshole and these kids sure did it with flying colors.

not really at all...hardworking kids who know the value of work..Isn't that what teenagers do, work to get money to get something/go somewhere. I just sold my dirtbike i paid for in full to travel to Germany. Its the same idea

Thank you sir.

All i can say is that you can stereo type every person at every camp. I am sure when i go to windells ill run into my fare share of capital D-Bags, but im sure there are tons of kids like me who have parents that have worked their asses off (or inherit the money) to send us there. Its like saying all jews are cheep, or rednecks are inbred..Im sure you guys are pickin up what im putting down

fortunately for you sir it sounds like your parents raised you correctly, but you are only a small minority in this situation. More times than not a kid who comes from money- meaning their parents came from money, grandparents came from money,...so on and so on, they tend to lack appreciation for things more than kids who dont have loot like that.

alot of times if your parents came from less than they have now, they obviously had to work for it, and they bestow those qualities onto their kids. i spent my whole life around rich kids, and i found that their parents are just as oblivious as them, cause they had it all handed to them, and never learned anything for themselves. alot of these types get bored because they get everything they want, so they become destructive to satisfy the boredom, which is prolly the case w/ these two

I'm not going to poop on them. But hopefully they learned a lesson. Kids shouldn't be ashamed that there parents work hard, then again they need to be grateful for that.

I'm going to windells this summer and anyone who has their parents paying for their camp is lucky as shit! I've been working like crazy and have made like 1500 this summer so far so my parents paid for the rest. thats off lawn mowing babysitting baseball umping and oddjobs like that just work and you'll get the money

Thos kids who decided to piss in the gondola pretty much pissed all over the coc park so Fuck You for ruingin that shit

What most people don't realize is that when a kid from the East travels out West for a week, its rather expensive.

Rountrip Airfare: $300

Hotel: (90 a night) $540

Meals: (Free Hotel Breakfast, $20 Lunch, $20 Dinner) = $240

Lift Tickets: (Rounding down to 80) $480

Rental Car: $400

Total: $1960 (This doesn't include anything extra).

Now, For an American Momentum costs around $2400.

This price includes all the above, and more. You can go mountain biking, water ramping, wakeboarding, paintballing, skylining, rock climbing and countless other activities all for FREE. You also get Professional coaching in this price. As well, you accumulate at least $100 worth of swag, for free over the course of the week.

If you ask me, the two are equal if not Momentum has an upperhand, especially considering that most trips out west are family trips so the first cost is doubled, trippled or even quadrupled.

its really bothering me how everyone is hating on kids whos parents can afford to send them to camp. both of my parents grew up poor (one was on food stamps) and they both worked there way to where they are now. im sure that my parents could pay to send me to camp (probably), but they want me to work hard in school and help out around the house and with my brother who has bipolar disorder until they feel ive worked hard enough to deserve it. theres only so much you can do to help out if you arent old enough to land a legitimate paying job that could pay enough to afford camp. its getting way harder to get jobs these days for kids my age (14-15) as a lot of these are going to older people now. to summarize, yes I live comfortably now as a kid, but thats no reason to hate on me. i do what i can to help out.

Ya skiing is so expensive and for coc its less than the 2400 at momentum more like 1900 which is what i got it for back when the exchange rate from CND to USD was money. So I see it as worth it plus you get coaching.

Momentum's actually like a hundred cheaper than COC, i just added 500 extra for the flight.

But yes, I concur.

Ya, I was thinking this, Its probably a little off cause im from Chicago, the midwest

But if its low then it only furthers my original point

Haha I don't think this is accurate at all. I'm going to Hood in two days and my expenses look like this:

Rountrip Airfare: 450

Hotel: 0, crashing in a dope house

Meals: Bring ramen, microwaveable meals, buy in bulk with friends, 20/day

Booze: 75ish for the week

Lift tickets: 50 bucks a day, plus you can hike

Rental car: hitchhike, make friends

Total: cheap. Live like a bum for 8 or 9 days, it's well worth it

1st of all for most kids going to another town without their parents is adventure enough.and the whole point of going to ski on a glacier is to ride a good park on soft snow. Sure it's not big mtn riding but for a lot of kids they're never going to ride somewhere where there is real big mtn riding. so going ride park in a country that speaks english to get good at something they love is a much better option for them.

Right but mine is in for the typical 13 - 18 year old going on a family ski trip to Colorado or Utah. Lift tickets are more. Hotels are required. Real meals are required. Rental cars are necessary.

Right but my parents, and I'm assuming most other people's parents don't want their 13-18 year old, hitchiking and being as independent as you are. Out of curiosity, how old are you?

I just find it funny reading a question asking who actually raised their own money. I want someone to be like yea i was a bitch to my parents so they let me go to shut up. Unfortunately no one would admit to it.

I still think its a cool thing that kids are willing to work for the camps because in the overall picture it would be such a sick time

this shit pisses me off. 99.9 percent of the kids here who dont have money to fritter around like confetti deserve to go over those ignorant fucks. hell i know all of you wouldnt just take shit like this for granted. its ok though back to mommy and daddy in their 4000sqft suburban home.

ha tru story- but i didnt go to camp- its the same with everything- cars, clothes, everything- people r just jealous- unless the person is an actual spoiled brat dont call them on it

this exactly. except i payed a g in cash for it. and i am so grateful that i am able to go to camp, cause its one fucknig hell of an experience. i am not rich, just regular middle class, no exaggeration. and the reason my rents put out money for my skiing is cause the believe in extracurricular sports. my sister figureskates which costs much more than camp per year. i dotn pay for my regular season pass cuse i work at a resort. so yeah, im sorta tired of people that label EVERYONE at camp a spoiled brat. cause in reality, there are always ones that arent grateful. but there ARE also ones that do appreciate.

anyways, about the gondola. i think thats total disrespect and those kids should get banned from whistler and definitely COC. its totally unacceptable on all circumstances. Acutally, i was at session B and the liftee told us as we were getting onto the lift that if we threw rocks out the windows, we would get sent home from camp. and we were like wtf? why would we do that. and she said that a couple kids were doing that before us. so yeah, it goes to show that there are a lot of douches out there. but we cant label everyone.

in the summer of my 18th year of life. me n 3 others drove from mn to whistler, skied momentum a bunch, coc a little, and good public park, stayed in a three room suite, with more weed than we knew what to do with, for a month. for $1200 each. buy my book, the secrets of summer skiing, to find out how.

I'd go to S. America over Whistler or Hood in a second. It's winter there, huge mountains and you can learn Spanish.

As bad as this incident is, I think the stereotype that all kids who go to camp have rich parents is wrong.

I busted my ass at a telemarketing job for an entire year so I could go up to High North for a week. My parents didn't pay for anything. It was so worth the money. The coaches that you have teach you so much, you meet a tonne of awesome other kids, and you are fed like kings.

RIP High North.

i fractured my shoulder blade on the 5th day of skiing at session b and at the same time a snowboarder broke his collarbone, thats how i met him

when i was leaving for home on saturday i saw that snowboarder and his friend at the airport

i asked his friend, "wait a second, why are you here, aren't you staying another week?"

he told me about the gondola incident... i was disgusted but didn't say anything to insult them

so pretty much a snowboarder with a broken collarbone hopped up on t3s is the culprit and his friend who did nothing to stop him was also sent home

they are banned for life from both whistler and coc... i do not expect them to get refunds for their 2nd week but it seemed like the 2 boarders were willing to put up a fight if they weren't reimbursed

Quit bitching and get off your pedestal you little girls. Stop being angry that kids parents paid for their camp while you worked all year for it and be happy your parents taught you to work for what you want. You wouldn't have anyone to hate on if there were no rich kids camps, wouldn't that be awful?
