COC - Coaching or no coaching?

I am planning to go to COC this summer. I'm definitely more of a big mountain/freeride skier, but I really want to get better in the park for those shitty snow days. I am basically comfortable with 3s on 15-20ft jumps, and 5s on 10ft jumps. FS Surface swaps and lip slides are basically all I have on rails.

Basically, my question is if it is worth the $500 for coaching, or should I just go to play in the park?

Testimonials in regards to the helpfulness of the coaches? +K for helpful responses.

all that i'll say is that pros dont always make the best coaches. i think getting the right coach can help a lot, but ive never heard anything amazing about the coaching at coc

i learn best from my friends just skiing with them.. dont waste $500 just chill with some kids and you will learn

eh, if you are motivated to try new things (which i assume you are, seeing as you are dropping lots o cash on summer camp) you can get by without a coach and still learn a shitton. And if you do have a question im sure you would be able to find someone to help you, even other campers are super helpful and give some good advice

Yeah, a lot of my friends who've gone to camps ended up with amazing coaches (Mack Jonesssss, Tom Wallisch, Chris Turpin) and some ended up with great skiers but not great coaches (Gus Kenworthy).....

yea i went a while back and margetts was my coach, hilarious dude just wasnt too into coaching. just go and ski with kids that are better, i find thats the best way to improve
