Coaster rail

umm.... i think it was snowcase who built a whale tail rail so message him, i think he did it with some box material though, although bending the pvc pipe would be easy enough. Im also thinking about building one. My idea would be to cut the supports with the correct angle that you want and then finish up the frame. Then nail/screw plywood onto that and place the pvc pipe on top of that and screw into it from the bottom or something, im not really sure on how to attach the pvc pipe...
 
when atatching the pvc, what i do is take a large drill bit(make sure it is wider than the head of the screw) and drill through one side where you want your screw to go. then with a second drill bit(slightly smaller than the shaft of the screw)drill all the way through. then line up with the wood and attach with your screws(smaller drill holes go facing the boards.
 
I made a dragons tail rail which required bending the pvc...so what you do is just get 4-1/2 inch pieces cause they bend easiely and just screww in as your go
