The headliners are never particularly great, There is a shit load of stuff there for me, but then again, I listen to a shit load of music I suppose...

Jesus christ. What the fuck happened to that festival? That is a pretty week lineup. Not saying there aren't some good band but um... It's just not there. Pretty much all the bands high up on the bill you could have seen at other festivals farther down or maybe even in a better slot at smaller festivals. Not really much for a huge festival.

Pretty surprised. I'm not saying I agree with all the music choices but usually you see the coachella lineup and you can at least say hell yeah that's awesome to a good chunk of it.
 
I am buying a ticket as a sort of insurance for seeing DFA. If they announce a tour, I'd much rather see them at a venue and get a small return on my coachella ticket, as I really don't like festivals at all. I just never got to see them when they were together as they never toured through colorado.

 
i shit my pants when i saw OFWGTKA was playing. that was sooo unexpected. that lineup made me jizz. i want to go.

Oh and yes, I did capitalize the ones I would be most excited for, and added the word 'fucking' to the one I could die happy after seeing.

Maybe I'm just too trendy for my own good, but I think the lineup is pretty sick. I would have wanted Baths and Lorn, but other than that, its pretty solid...
 
Because no one knows who they are. Foals is such the shit though. I've heard their live show is incredible too. I dunno who klaxons is. Worth checking out I take it?

but i'll still take EDC over this any day, save my money for Borderlands.

I'm surprised you don't know who the Klaxons are, from the past it seems like you have a similar taste in music to me. I'm sure you've heard Golden Skans, but they've put out some other good stuff too.
 
I thought the lineup was awesome, and then I saw DFA1979 was going to play, and it made my day. That band my entire high school life bearable, I was fucking bummed when they broke up. I saw their show in Brooklyn right before they broke up, shit was wild.

 
Have you ever gone to or see the lineups of any other festivals? Really nothing that's a big deal on the list. Could have seen pretty much everything at other smaller festivals not even that far up the bill or at small clubs for cheap enough
 
I read through the thread. Really feel like the people that are freaking out about how amazing this lineup is are what is wrong with the world these days. So much of the stuff you could have seen at any other festival, even small festivals. A good amount of the bands were way down on the lineup of other festivals.

Will bonnaroo continue their 2010 suckage this year? Will coachella never have a decent lineup again?

Saving my pennies for rothbury's come back and the many other festivals that are going to look much better.

Omg I like 3 of their songs and they played a venue a half hour from my hose with a 10 dollar ticket, I'm so glad there almost headlining a major festival. That's so sick. This lineup is ridiculous.
 
You know, some of them just slip by me :) I've kinda been on this electronic bender for a while now too, so my indie collection has been suffering. Thanks for the suggestions. I've been needing some new stuff bad!
