CMC Steamboat or leadville?

I want to attend Colorado mountain college but unsure if i should go to timberline campus or steamboat. Hows the night life/ party scene? How is the ski scene? Im coming from maine but have lived in SLC for a winter but tooo many mormans and laws so im outta there. Wondering where a pothead ski bumb should end up next.

Steamboat. If you go to leadville then you will most likely be skiing at Ski Cooper. I'm actually hoping to go to steamboat next year too.

steamboat is a gold mine compared to leadville. i live in steamboat and its awesome. tons of chill kids, lots of snow, lots of good weed.

I'm at leadvilile right now and I love it. Its nice and remote, one of the last small mountain towns in the US. And the townies are hilarious. We're close enough to go to most mountains most everyday. Its a strange and wonderful place, but its not for everyone.

The drugs and altitude are amazing too.

Leadville seems to be the place to be to ski and Steamboat seems like the place where the college scene is. Is there much of a college scene in Leadville? Steamboat sounds sick but its all by tiself in the middle of nowere.

well, steamboat is closer to skiing than leadville is. and id say that leadville is more "in the middle of nowhere" than steamboat. go to leadville if you want to be alone and just chill, if not, go to steamboat.

There is NO college scene in steamboat. I went to cmc steamboat two years ago, it was alright. lots of drugs ~ lots of weed ~ lots of snow. The parties are few and far between, there are seriously no girls at the school the ratio is like 15-1 guys to girls. Trust me I lived in the dorms. They kicked out so many kids for reasons like showing up to the dorms drunk, or hitting someone in the face with a snowball. Of the 200 kids in the dorms, 20+ got kicked out the first three months of school. The kids who did manage to get laid at school all shared the same two girls. I'd give the school a C- the only positive thing is they really cater to skiing (no classes on fridays), and you'll probably be skiing in september, Our first snow fall was september 16th and we got 3 ft...
