Clothing Iron with Ski Wax Setting?

I've done it with a piece of aluminum foil over it to avoid wax getting on it. It worked in a pinch, so I'd say go for it.

Why put this in NSG though?

if you're gonna use it for skis and clothing, you're gonna ruin your clothes.

If you're just trying to use a clothing iron to wax your skis, get it as hot as you can without having the wax smoke.

only if you want your clothes ruined lol. And plus, the market for people who go "ooo look, an iron and it comes with a ski wax setting!" won't be that high, people would probably be concerned to then use it on their clothes if it says you can use it for skis

Foil rips, just commit an iron to its new life as your ski tool. Thrift stores are gold mines for cheap irons, some even don't have the shitty holes in the iron base.

I use one. Start it low and slowly turn it up if you need too for temp. Also, use an old one, because it will ruin your clothes if you try to use it on them after

I got a nice square one for like 20 bucks back in the day. No holes and nice settings.

You can def find something dirt cheap that'll work though.

Just don't hold it in one place to long, and def never use it on your clothes again.

i use an old clothing iron. just be careful not to turn the temp up too high or you can easily burn your bases....or so i've heard. fortunately, ive never torched a set of bases.

I got an iron for free because my mom dropped it while she was ironing and put a dent on the "iron" part. I have to looke out for that part but it's a free iron so i don't give a shit.

You're gonna pay a fuck ton of money for insurance FYI. You're gonna have so many claims for ruined clothing. Even if it should hold wax, people will find ways to make you pay.
