Climbing/touring skins

I need some help. I've never purchased skins before so I'm not really sure where/how to start... Any guidance would be appreciated.
 
I've used BD skins for years. The Ascension nylon skins (orange ones) are very durable and climb very well. I've never had a problem with them. Last year I purchased the mohair/nylon mix skins (grey colored) for my Dynafit/Jeffrey Tour setup and I really like how they've worked out. They glide better than nylon skins but I haven't noticed much of a drop off in how they stick to the snow.

When you get skins, I recommend finding help cutting them from someone who has done it before though. It's not difficult to do on your own, but guidance is nice to have.
