Cliffs

Barrhaven quarry has some fun ones. highest being maybe 30 feet, so nothing too large. great place to spend an afternoon, have a fire and some food.

barhaven is only ten mintues from my house so thats sick. theres a bunch of quarrys ive looked at and none have cliffs. wheres this one?

barrhaven quarry is fun but the water is maaaad dirty. garbage floating in corners and stuff. I went once and had a few leaches stuck on me lol. and its not 30 feet its more like 6 meters or so which is about 20 feet. if you go bring shoes for jumping cause theres broken glass in areas.

Up at my cottage has some amazing ones, its in val des mont on green lake. You need a small fishing boat to get to it. But its worth it, theres like a 15 ft one a 20 , 25 , 40, 45 then the big 60. All in the same place, i'll be gettin some go pro this summer.

I live in barrhaven! suppp

but yea the quarry is pretty good, the reason for all the glass and trash is there are bush parties quite often there.

also if you like dirty water there's a pretty sweet cliff right near the Quebec end of the Portage bridge. It's pretty tall too, much taller than Barrhaven quarry and with a few levels to jump off.

it's off the end of the spit of land into the river in the middle of the the map here:

but I'd only suggest it when there aren't any no swim advisories at the beaches.

just a heads up for those going to Barrhaven Quarry. They seem to be cracking down on swimming there and ticketing people. Was there today just after lunch and when we got to the road a cop had just pulled up. Said we were trespassing and not allowed to swim there blah blah blah and that we were lucky we were leaving then as he was going to go give tickets to everyone else swimming there. I asked why so strict and he said the owner is getting pissed at everyone using it so they'll be ticketing anyone they see there. I know the cop was jsut doing his job and he seemed like he really didn't want to be ticketing people, but the owner seems like a complete dickwad. although it would be interesting to find out who the owner is, as he said it's private land. i was pretty certain it wasn't.

so if you're swimming there just keep a watch out. would be easy enough to stay on the opposite end of quarry and if you see someone coming you can just book it.

^be careful though. ncc can throw down harsh tickets and you need to leap to clear the rocks, its not a massive jump but people have hit them and suffered really bad injuries.

Lack St.Pierres got a popular jump spot

22ft
