Cliff Jumping

HOLY fuck i was just about to make the same thread, im with him i need to get some good places to go cliff jumping

west chester like lancaster and shit? reading maybe. whatever that whole hick amish area west of philly is?

not many cliffs. probably lots of train bridges though.

i know of a 25 foot train bridge jump, and a 45 foot waterfall in hunterdon county, NJ if you wanna venture out that far.

both are often patrolled by the police, though.

There is a decent 25 to 30 footer right near cabelas in hamburg. It's right on the schuykill river. I forget how you get there but it ain't far from cabelas, maybe north on 61 a piece or something.

Go to glen onoko falls in jim thorpe and jump the bridge, it's a train tressel at least 40 or 50 foot and kids jump there all the time. It's a 40 minute drive up the northeast extension but coupled with the climbing and hiking there it is worth it. lehigh gorge state park glen onoko access.

Also see if you can find any info on the slatington quarry, but that's up the turnpike a bit too.

adams creek up in PA is the best place around. they have rope swings going off waterfalls, a 45 ft, 55, and 60 foot cliffs. waters deep and running, but im guessing its a drive for you.

im pretty sure he is talking about westchester county in ny.

And the only jump i know of is on the mianus resivoir, its like 40 feet i think

I've never been, and I don't know the current situation as far as the local law goes. I do know it's somewhere up 476 and that's about it. Big ass quarry with high cliffs. Actually east rockhill is the same way, but the local fuzz is all over that one so you gotta know someone close and hike in on the tracks. I'm sure all this can be seen with googlemaps. It's all I use anymore to scout adventures.

the slatington one im thinkin of is where everyone dumps dead bodies and shit. the one in bangor as well. that probably has a TON of dead black people in there :(

If you want to make the hike to Hamburg Pa. Right by the Cabelas is a cliff called peace rock. It's 45 feet tall and has a ropeswing a little down the path thats pretty fun.

im not sure if ne one said ne thing about 6 mile creek (ithaca NY) bout 45 mins from syracuse, also known as dam 2. they have a 5 ft, and 20-80 ft jumps mulitple cliffs and lots of room.

york haven quarry!!!!!!!!! if coming from lancaster head rt 30 west. to york. take 83 north to newberrytown exit. turn towards the rutters, stay on that road down to damn make right go past the industrial plant take first right. the make first left down dirt rd about 1/2 half mile down dirt rd you will see a stone arch for the rail road tracks. park on side of road follow trial beside rail road tracks back into woods. about 200 ft you we see some abandoned quarry buildings and quarry behind. the is an 85 ft cliff, a 65 footer (very dangerous to get to and once your on the 65' ledge no going back have to jump) the 45' and anything less the 45' you could ever want. don't get caught big fines been going there all my life never been caught but know people who have.

he means westchester ny... theres a 10 foot bridge jump at pocantico lake right by pleasantville that we go to but thats all i know of

the 32 bridge in carroll county maryland is pretty good, 60ft from the top and some 25-30ft cliffs. cops are always there though.
