i love to do it and shit, but im just wonderen how people brace themselves when they hit the water so it doesnt hurt as much when they jump off like huge ones, like 50+ cus ive gone off like 30 ft and everytime i land it fucken kills my arms and legs and shit, and i do try to keep my body as thin as possible, and what about the water depth, how can you tell how deep the water needs to be??

any help would be good thanks

1. wear shoes

2. get your arms in and legs closed

3. land on axis so you dont slap your stomach or back or sides.

4. dont be a pussy it doesnt hurt at all

oh and

5. point your toes down so your feet dont slap hard.

doesnt really matter, i dont wear shoes when i jump cause it doesnt bug me much but most kids just wear whatever sneakers they have as long as they fit decently tight and you dont care if they get wet.

yea, just standard pencil dive form. obviously don't put your arms out, stuff that sticks out gets the slap. it's common sense.

or just flip it. this is from yesterday

point your toes and land pencil with your arms by your side

i wear some old skate shoes whenever i go just cause it protects your feet and its not hot on the rocks or whatever

im thinking of trying a 110 we have here by the end of the summer...post vid if i do

i did an 80 footer once it was pretty dope i think im jsut a natural cliff jumper and diver ive dove form a 60 and jumped 80 and have never felt pain with 0 instruction

i did a 60 years ago, didnt land perfectly straight. ended up pulling some muscles in my stumach and that ended up wrecking most of my summer. be careful.

ill take and post a pic of it next time i go there

its so crazy ive only seen one person do it but they just like hang in the air for so long...

One more thing:

Don't look down, look straight. If you look down, you'll have a red face for the rest of the day

you can plug your nose if you want and then use which ever arm that is free to hold on to the elbow of the arm thats holding your nose.

if you want.

i broke my front teeth flipping cliffs i get a new tooth put in next moth its been a pain in the ass its been glued onto a brace kinda thing, completely freeks out my girl friend and the dental bills are gona run into the thousands haha was funny because before we were going out i was fuking about impressing here with flips and shit its weird how things work out. but for the big jumps practice on we once first perfecting your positioning and they way you are falling and the way you are gona land. its a weird feeling dewing something big because you are holding your breath then you look down then ur like shit i have another 20 ft and u have to take another, but ye be cerfule if you start flipping and dont grit your teeth

well first make sure you scope out the landing to make sure it's deep enough. When I land I like to pull my legs up once im in the water this stops me from going too deep. I've done a 40ft into like 5-6ft deep water and it was fine.

the highest one iv ever jumped off was an 80 footer and i was scared to death on the climb up but you just cant sit up there and think about it cuz thats what kills you..

you gotta jump as soon as you get to the top or else you phyche yourself out

the longer you look at the drop the worse it gets

oh and yea wear shoes...

keep your arms out for ballance untill you get close to the water then cross them in front of you close to your body.

how you scared on 30 footers

i jump 30 footers in my sleep man!!!!

it gets scary when you get to like 80+

^yeah one time raine was sleep walking at this campground and jumped a 70 footer and was fine

no lie

no its true it just wont save you always, but to the kid who said dont look down it will hurt your face...im pretty sure i always look at the water, naver slapped my face.

if it hurts to do a 30 footer then you shouldnt be doing things higher than that. but for 50-60 feet you dont need to wear shoes. just put your hands at your side and flex your arms right before they hit so they dont fly up. then point your toes then kind of turn your body into a a shape of a C somewhat so when you hit the water you "banana" in not just go straight down, buts thats only if you dont no how deep it is.

just make yourself into an arrow. and as far as how deep is it to be safe, swim down where your going to land and judge for yourself.

yep good stuff to know right here also watch out for cops because a lot of cliffs are on private property and you can get busted for trespassing
