Cliff drops

just dropped a 40 footer today and the rush of doin a frontflip to your back into fresh pow is so much more intense than hitting a park jump. anyone else agree? if you haven't i suggest you work up to doing it.

i just landed on my back on this cliff today, the landing was a little sketch but as i said cliff jumping is so much more fun than park when you have pow

I love the feeling of dropping a cliff then making the high speed turns afterwards. I don't know why, just feels badass.

I kinda like stomping small-medium sized cliffs when there's not much pow. I feel like a much more skilled skier for some reason. Definitely not as fun as pow cliff drops, but there's some adventure/accomplishment to be had.

Haha I live in the midwest too, we find our own cliffs lol-This is me at Ohio State.

Bohemia.
I was just there. Don't tell me it's too far of a drive, I live in Maryland.
Cliffs are fun. Biggest I hit was 15-20 feet, tho.

you should start doing big mountain comps than... you can huck cliffs to hard landings to your hearts content.

unfortunatly if you hit a 40 footer on the ec you would probably die. most ive gone for is 10 over here.

I did my first front flip off a cliff the other day...unfortunately it was after i landed....somehow miraculously i did end up back on my skis though

The biggest real cliff I've done is around 20ish. I was so afraid the first time, but after you go for it its like nothing.

Only ral cliff i ever did was like 10 ft with 7ft of pow at the base. ANy one got any more pics? 40 feet is FUCKING HIGH.

yeah it is election just on a pow day back in january. the ultimate goal for the season would be to hit smokestack but i doubt that will happen with the snow pack and how scary the drop is

Biggest I've hit is 25, maybe 30, I've heard thirty from my friends, but I say 25. 40 is sick as fuck and the balls it takes to hit that is pretty incredible. I've stood on top of 40 at my mountain and I can't even imagine how sick it feels flying through the air dropping four stories. Who loves hitting drops, hanging out in the white room and riding away with snow beard and patches of fresh on your goggles? I love stomping new tricks in the park and it feels great, but the feeling of dropping a big cliff and riding away is so much better.

^They are two separate videos. One's a front flip, the other is a back flip. It looks like a double post, but it's not.

I haven't been to many places around NA, but Squaw has an insane amount of cliffs. Pretty much everywhere you look you can find a cliff. Granite Chief is super dope if you want lots of smaller cliffs (20-30).

Is that B cliff at alta? Such a fun hit and easily 40+ feet depending on how much snow they have. That backie was so layed out!
