Clicking into bindings backwards?

we had our equivilant of gaper day yesterday, my cousins and i skiied clicked in backwards for a while just goofin around. i have symetrical center mounts (habits) so i really couldnt tell the diff lol, except when you look down at your feet your like wtf is this
 
Yeah my friend used to do it, he got funny looks in the chairlift line since he wasn't rinding twin tips. (he didnt ski like that though)
