toga party friday.

no, this is not a "how do i tie a toga" thread.

Basically I am asking you guys if you have been to a toga party, what do you drink? (if you haven't, what do you think fits?). All i have right now is a nice 3L bottle of rum. I am not going to show up at a TOGA party with rum. So its not a question of what i have, its what do i go get? What would be classy? Bottles of wine? i dont really wanna puke up my intestines... cans of beer? Thats what i am leaning towards. Lets hear your thoughts. This party is going to be really sick, and extremly well themed, and I am super excited.

Just go with whatever you feel like. I've been to several toga parties and there is generally a bunch of different kinds of booze that people drink. If nobody is doing it, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get some people to pool money on a keg.
 
cans of beer would be classic, the cheaper the better, the classiest would be bottles of wine/champagne, cocktails are always good, but then you need a bunch of stuff, and a place to mix...

but yea, for a real toga party, iv been to a couple and I dont think it ever really matters what drinks you bring.

 
kegs are such a good/cheap investment. if you do the math, its way cheaper. a keg is like 190 beers. after you get your deposit back, they come out to like 60 for bud light or like 45 for busch light. a 30 rack of bud light is like 15.99 plus take. do the math. busch light 30 rack from a beer store is like 11.99
 
haha colt 45 is sooo good. It's like beer but smoother, and comes in a huge fucking bottle so you don't have to keep going back to the fridge. I love that shit.
 
okay so if this is a really themed party i am thinking you need to start not thinking like an 21st century man but like an ancient greek or roman put yourself in their shoes what would they think... i am thinking you role up with a plastic sword tucked in the toga and for some reason either like a buy jug of wine or something like that... you can buy wine cheap also i guess there is good stuff by us called "2 buck chuck" its some brand that is 2 dollars a bottle and i guess it tastes legit
 
you can bring anything you want to drink, but dont bring wine to party if your a dude. its pretty homsexual of you. where did you buy a 3 liter bottle of rum?

im thinking you man up and drink red wine. get a really old school medevil looking gold cup, like some holy grail shit and drink from that. or just drink everything from that cup and then no one will know what you drink so it wont matter!

and the kid who said tequila is the only way to go? wtf? yeah cause nothing says greek like some mexican liquor.
 
get red wines, even you buy the cheapest stuff, it still is much classier and tastes way better than any other alcohol that i've had (ie beer, champagne, rum, whiskey)
