like muteman said the LF ultra cores have a clear to fade thing that looks sweet. it would look cool on wood core skis. but dont ever buy wood core wakeboards...unles you like throwing mony in the garbage

sometimes when im running water to wash dishes or something, i think about how lucky i am to have such simple access to running water and how some people will never know such a simple pleasure.

then i let it run for awhile, just because i can.

 
I think some Polycarbonate might make a good topsheet material, although it might be better used as a core.

But as for chroming, one can have that done to their skis pretty cheap, there's shops that could probably do both your skis for 30 bucks or so.

or you could vacuuchrome your own.

^the only way you would be able to chrome your skis is if they were completely made of metal. the material has to conduct electricity VERY well as the nickel base coat and the chrome coat are bonded electrically. and if they were all metal and you did want them chromed, good luck finding anywhere to do it for under $500 a pair. i had to steal rental poles from my mountain because i couldnt find all steel poles. aluminum would work, but it would flake alot easier
