Ive been skiing this rail in my yard since my home mt. is closed but its tearing up my skis. i figured my ski season was over soo i didnt care but im going to NY for the day tue. Also, now theres mud on them. I tryed to use a wet wash cloth to clean them but it still wont come off....what should i clean it with???And also theres this white stuff that i usually can scrape off with this thing on my ski wax container but i dont have it anymore... what could i use to get that off also...??

yeah thats what i was thinking...and i tryed the warm water and hand soap and it didnt get all of it off but o well...what about the white stuff though???

gas and painttinner will kill ur ski... use an orange cleaner... they actually sell some sort of orange base cleaner but i think its rather pricy so just pick up ur basic citrus cleaner

^^ even give them a once over with a citrus cleaner first - that will get everything out of the bases of your ski

acetone and gasoline are very bad for your bases... like someone said, hot wax and scrape them while theyre still warm or use citrus cleaner...

Just clean-wax it. Melt a shitload of wax on it (Use Swix CH10 or Toko System 3 yellow, because it's mad cheap) and iron it in. Instead of letting the wax harden before scraping it off, scrape it off immediately. That gets all the shit out of the base and then you can do a regular wax job.
