well he did coach shannon barky, i mean afterall he coached Shannon Barky, who he coached, by the way did he mention Shannon Barky, the mogul skier he coached, I know that cuz he said he coached Shannon Barky, she place lower when he coached Shannon Barky, but he doesnt just know Shannon Barky, but he coached Shannon Barky.
 
Does one of the teams wear headsets while competing? So the coach can talk to them? It looked like it at the Alpine comp.
 
bwahahaha, hes trying to take over far west, completely oblivious to the fact that squaw controls everything. and he wants to run a business, but thinks that he doesnt need to recruit kids from the bay area. and at competitions he stands were the judges can hear him to try some phycology stuff and he talks about how good his athletes runs are and how bad everyone else did
 
I work with Clay all the time, and he is great to work with. But really who give a F###. Clay is a nice enough guy, I don't think there needs to be a thread dedicated to people pissing on him.
 
Jex's comment might be the most level-headed and progressive thing ever said on this site. "grabs are all that really matter," thats how i have been living my life for as long as i van remember. That being said i thought i would present the facts...

FACT: Clay Beck was a sponsored skier on the north face extreme team. This leads me to believe he has to have don some rad F-ing grabs. He might have been wearing a yellow jumpsuit while doing these rad F-ing grabs which makes them even cooler.

FACT: Clay Beck dropped an eighty foot cliff.

you people are lame dissin Clay.

Clay is by far, without a doubt, a step above everyone I get to work with on events. Alot of event promoters come to Boreal and they all suck compared to Clay.

Clay is a class act and professional which I find that I can't really say that about too many other people that I have to deal with in this industry.
 
hahaha, Ya thats pretty much what I heard, i was just kidding there. I dont really know, all I know is what Ive heard, and all that Ive heard of him, is Shannon Barky Shannon Barky. Personally I dont want a fucking Coach, telling me what grab and what trick I should be doing, Ill do whatever the hell I want and have my own style instead of trying to be PRO!!!!!!
 
yes, but you guys are straying from the main point....GRABS.....grab some fucking skis or just go home and play xbox....atleast maybe you can grab on amped or something.
 
dude, i dont know who the hell you think you are JEX. but are you serious, why dont you just do straight airs all day with grabs, you must be from the middle of nowhere or something, oh and you might want to get a pair of twin tips.
 
if you really want to be cool you have to do a zreo over the nicks jump this year with a pair of 190's for the 80's.
 
clay seems kinda chill, I met him on wednesday and he complimented me on my pipe airs, so I can't really diss him... although he just coundn't understand the whole no poles thing... werid.
 
all i have to say to everyone dissin clay is two things:

1. think what you want, i think hes rad

2. coaching abilities... just wait till you see how nasty some of the kids he coaches are getting, cause you will see. they're goin straight to the top
