Classy yet affordable alcohol.

I want to get a a 750ml bottle for after prom and I'd like it to be some kind of respectable alcohol but not too expensive.

I was thinking something like Grey Goose, or Crown Royal.

I want to make sure my date will like it too so i think like brandy or cognac is out.

Suggestions?
 
well grey goose is vodka and crown royal is whiskey. so what do you want?

i'd personally go with vodka if it's for your date too. just go with grey goose or absolut. both aren't too bad and aren't too pricey. probably want a mixer too...
 
if you're gonna mix, I say don't bother going "classy."

You can get a bottle of mr boston and mix it with whatever you want, and odds are, you'll get drunker and not know the difference.
 
Not a fan of absolut so much ^^ grey goose is in first place right now. I'll check out the 3 olives one though!
 
very true...if i drink vodka it's always mixed and usually shitty. hard to tell the difference until the next day lol.

however i'm not a big fan of vodka....
 
I think its better than Grey Goose, and its under 20 bucks. It has some good flavors, but i dont like the berry (too sweet). The root beer flavor is surprisingly awesome, especially when mixed with...root beer lol.

then yea, a 750 of grey goose is quality. Not the greatest vodka of all time, but for highschoolers after prom....it'll be good.

Grey goose is absolute trash. It is 100% marketing hype. If you're going to spend that amount on vodka get chopin or hangar one. As far as "classy yet affordable alcohol" goes - um, wine anyone? You can get pretty damned decent wine for 20 bucks.

Hanger one looked pretty legit. Plus it says it has a hint of grape juice. Not exactly going to do much but just comforting knowing it's there.
 
fuck Grey Goose. It's completely overprices less than mediocre vodka.

go for a bottle of Jameson's.
 
cant beat Franzia if you wanna go the cheap wine route. Not exactly classy, but sometimes drinking wine out of a plastic bag that you can throw over your shoulder like a drunk Santa makes for a great night.
 
Normally I don't mind the quality of my alcohol (16oz Nattys and Ron Diaz are my usual) but I feel like I owe it to her for something at least somewhat nice.
 
Goose blows. Absolut is much better, but then again I am not a vodka kind of guy. I would personally suggest Jameson.
 
vodka=girls=fun=sex=fun time for you. simple algebra. Just dont by 5 o'clock or somthing cheap. go at least absolute.

 
last time I drank strait 151 my roommates car burnt to the ground. Shit shouldn't be made its disgusting.
OP. get some Goldsclager its cheap and goes down easy (Not to mention pieces of gold are in it). Be warned that it sneaks up on you though.

Somebody already said it. But take it from me, an experienced drinker.. You can never go wrong with Captain, about 14.95 a fith or Stoli if you want to stay with vodka for your date. Muchhhh better than Goose.
