Haha really? I thought that was the best part. He kinda made the impression of doing away with a tempo altogether; it felt like the song was "falling apart."
It just doesn't seem all that fitting when he just drifts out and explores the melody, but when he does use it to get back to that one part it sounds good. I just think he could've had the same effect with a less heavy sound. Maybe a broken chord or something. Idk. He probably knows way more about what he's doing than I do, so this is all pretty redundant.
I was waiting for vocals to ruin Hiromi (especially since the album is called "voice"), but was pleasantly surprised. And Erik Satie was great. Thanks for sharing.
The entire soundtrack for "Waking Life" is worth having. Movies also definitely worth watching.
yeah i can see how it could be interpreted that way. i think her idea is that all people have inner voices that are shown through ways other than talking, and music is hers. or something like that haha
