Started listening a lot to classic rock this past year and damn! i love it!

such a good song, im doing it for a research assignment in a class called rock 101 that i have. Have to research meanings, history and shit. its gonna be the sickest research asssignment ever
 
Zeppelin, Rush, and of course The Doors. Man rock was so good before the 80s screwed it all up with hair metal

Fucking love rush man. I saw them perform all of 2112 live, one of the only times they have ever done it /claim. And I can't fucking wait to see them again for the 10th time on October 20th at Barclays. Best live band hands down.

Also OP, I'm gonna get some diversity up in here. you gotta get into the 80s rock.

 
pink floyd, led zeppelin, lynyrd skynyrd are my 3 fav bands ever.

it's like once you listen to this, nothing else sounds like music
 
Some of my favorites. Saw Rush a few years ago in Toronto, smoked a spliff with my brother right before they played this song, I was loving life.

 
this music kinda sucks. its just old as fuck so theres no good drops, the bass-lines are too weak, and their voices sound so flat without auto tune. fine if you like it, i just think its pretty gay.

classic rock is probably the stupidest term ever, because so many bands can be under that.

Id say Cream, Yardbirds, Hendrix, Dead, Dylan, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and rush are my favorites. except for all of their stuff from the 80's, thats when shit got pop and synthesized.
 
im way into steve ray vaughn and bb king and other blues rocks like that. that wicked smooth jazzy bass and drums combines with unREAL guitar solos just sounds so right to me. also jefferson airplane, the james gang, neil young, fleetwood mac, blue oyster cult, and pretty much anybody whos not afraid to play rock and roll.
 
yes, rush, jethro tull and genesis is real prog rock. pink floyd aint. floyd is still probably the greatest band ever tho
 
the band, its such classic rock, it should be called classic classic rock. theyre my all time favorite "classic rock" band though, if thats what you wanna call them.
 
Me and my buddies were in a band from like grade 5 to grade 10 and we played classic rock almost exclusively. The two guitarists shred so hard, it's nuts. They still do to this day. We're about 13 in this vid. Please excuse the lack of stage presence and the fact that we're in a church. And the name.

 
being over 20 doesnt mean shit, unless youre 45-65 you werent around for this music, id bet most of the younger members parents on here were to young for this music when it came out, hall and oats is hardly classic rock by the way
 
Went through a phase in HS where I only listened to classic rock. I fell in love with Rainbow after finding an album my dad had. RIP Dio. Also, Sabbath is the greatest rock bad of all time.

This whole album is awesome

I could go on and on but I digress.
 
im not a genre nazi but the pixies are just straight up not classic rock.

amazing band, yes. frank black is a terrific musician and incredibly talented, but the pixies arent old enough for starters
 
Tom petty, lynyrd skynyrd, CCR, Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Ted Nugent, Guns n Roses, and can't forget my man Bruce Springsteen. Fuck if I could only listen to two artists for the rest of my life it would be Petty and Springsteen.
 
I'm 18 and music is just my thing, never have it off. I listen to anything and everything.
