Anyone at/planning to go to either of these schools? I want to know about skiing there. How often do you go, where do you go, is it hard to get rides, etc.?
 
yeah im going to RPI next year! there is a ski trip almost every weekend i heard, and they have a recreational/competative ski team. they are located an hour from killington, stratton and mt snow i think so its pretty convienient. go there so i have someone to ski with.

oh. fair enough. we definitely dont have engineering. id suggest rpi then. clarkson is in the middle of nowhere, as i recall, so youll be closer to civilization and relatively close to skiing.
 
haha thats so fucking true! i visited rpi for a hockey game and the sausages just never went away, basicaly no girl, and all the guy are faggot frat guys ( no beef on frats) or geeks. stay away from rpi
 
do yourself a favor and don't go to RPI unless you're female. It's 75% guys, and now they just made the school a dry campus, frat's included, which is total bullshit (http://www.saverpigreeks.com)

Troy, NY is a crappy city, the school is full of tools, etc. Skiing wise, yeah, it's an hour 15 from Mt. Snow and 2 hours (100 miles almost exactly) from killington. There are a decent amount of kids here that ride park if you do end up going here for some reason.
 
is it clarkson university, or college?

cause my bro goes to clarkson university, he doesnt get to go skiing that much, mostly cause he likes his sleep. But if your really devoted to going than they have trips to gore and whiteface almost every weekend with the outing club. Last year they also did a big trip and went to mt.St.Ann for a week. go to clarkson if you like off-raoding too, a lot of really good trails
 
haha skidmore is the most hippy art school ive ever seen. I live in saratoga and its not to great for skiing. The best places are like 2 hrs away in vt or possible whiteface.
 
who ever said go to skidmore? I saw one of my favorite shows there i saw addison groove project it was sick also its wierd those were the two school i was lookin into going to
 
i did. its a real chill school, but if youre like the kid who started this thread and are looking for engineering, not for you. and yeah, addison was a huge hit last year. a lot better than our other major act...bob saget
 
i've heard clarkson has a really great engineering program and you are almost guaranteed a job once you graduate.

I actually met some Clarkson kids on the lift and they seemed pretty chill.
