Im trying to decide on which movie to get. Claim or Such is Life, they both look like rad movies so its really hard to pick which one to get just from seeing the trailers. If anyone has seen them which do you think is better. rate it out of 10 pleeze.

10 being the most amazing vid ever.

well if you want to see a typical msp movie get claim, but personally i thought i sucked with the exception of pk, Colby and Jacob's parts which were very short. get such as life

Personally, I thought that Claim was sort of that same old same old ski movie feel. There was definetly some sick skiing, but it didnt appeal to me that much. Such is Life on the other hand was absolutely stellar. Great skiing, and an awesome soundtrack. Both though are well worth the money.

Am i the only fucking one that thinks turbo was a let down and that Claim was actually a very good movie? I haven't seen such is life yet but Claim had some amazing shots, a pretty good soundtrack, all the athletes killed it, and I thought it was cool to see the Athletes making funof eachother. It was especially cool to see Hugo Harrison's comeback.

deffs such is life i really like it wayyyyyy more than claim
such is life or turbo though that is hard.hmmmif you havent seen either go with turbohas more of a "wow" factor you could say

such is life!! and i havent even seen it yet.. but generally IMO.. rage > msp (imo!!!!)... msp always has sick sick sick footage and crazy shit like the matterhorn scaling/shralping scene.. but rage is just so much more chill to watch 1000 + times. msp = too much butt rock.. plus i thought the theme was totally chees ball

haha good ol shane mckonkey. and the guy with the parasail thing skiing over the avalanche thAT was covering the entire mountain was rediculous.

hugo harrison? dude, that guy has the most boring sections to watch. I respect his big mountain skills-- but the arm-flailing straight airs are not that fun to watch-- his section in Claim was no exception...

well, he is getting old and got his classic style down before anybody was throwing spins off of cliffs. i still have mad respect for the guy either way. he's fucked his body up so much and still charges harder than you could ever imagine to. he had some damn technical lines too. try straight airing off cliffs that big and not flailing your arms. i dare you.

The Massive is simply the best ski movie I've ever seen.

Such Is Life is also way dope. I just finished watching it for like the 5th time and it was still fucking sick.

I've seen most everything this year except Claim and Turbo. Both look really good. Everything this year looks pretty dope actually. I didn't like Reasons much though, but I don't remember much of it or Journal, or any of Hunting Yeti really haha.

i wasn't that inpressed with with claim i only liked the first segment with Abma TJ and CR and Sean's ant the end, i haven't seen such is life but based on other Rage films that ive seen it should be pretty good.

really? I thought Believe was soooooo much better.

Such is ilfe is good.... but you see alot of the same shots. I enjoy it more when a film company films by location so its not strange to see the same jump or rail 6 times. But when its broken out by segments and you keep seeing the same jump... just gets repetive

Saw Claim last night, some amazing shots that looked soo good on blue ray. Haven't seen the others to compare it to but it was deffinately entertaining.

i personally didn't even think claim was as good as the old msp flicks in comparison to yearbook, front line, and even pull. the intro was pretty lame, there were good segments colby west bit too much of his lip singing, simons was good and they did get his record quarterpipe hit, pk had the best seg in the film, sage had some sick lines and it was nice to see jacob in a flick. but just personally i didn't feel this movie

claaim was alright but not amazing...and i didnt think such is life was that good either.. almost everyone i kno agrees with this but i guess thats not th case for the rest of the world :P go for reasons or turbo or sumthing.

every ski movie thread on NS has to go back to level 1. Im actually curious if half of these kids have seen it yet. He didnt ask about turbo. Let the hard-ons for level 1 stay in the level one threads.

If you want to see people making cool turns and colby west killing it (only good part) then claim is for you. But i wouldn't suggest it

Ive seen just about every movie this year. I thought such is life was really good, really entertaining, but i thought matchstick went above and beyond this year. Their movie got me soo damn pumped up to ski and do crazy shit. They do have a ton of Big mountain, but its sick and really entertaining to watch as well.

Thank you. No hate to Josh, but most people on here are just riding Josh Berman's nuts and assuming MSP will suck because everyone else always says they do. The fact is that Matchstick Productions knows how to make a movie. I know this is a park skiing oriented site but Claim just killed it this year. Best MSP movie since Ski Movie III.

Alot of people are throwing in Turbo which was the best movie of the year, but if its between Claim and Such Is Life, Cosco's part is worth your $30 alone, LJ and Gus KILL IT SOOO HARD, Dylan Natale and Kyler Cooley ski some of the deepest pow you will ever see. And they both have sick individual segments. David Lesh has some pretty sick urban too. Such is Life

I haven't seen such is life... but for claim don't get it, unless u like watching backcountry riding or the classic msp HH riders. I was really disappointed with this movie.. only good segs are Monashees, PK and Jacob and i guess Colby(for comic relief) and thats way less then half the movie righ tthur.. But ya i liked Turbo it was wayyy better, good mix of all elements of skiing.
