So basically I made the not so inteligent decision of upgrading to lion right and now my cinema tools no longer works for some weird reason. Does anybody have any pointers on what is happening or any other programs for mac that are good for frame rate conversion. Everything else in my Final cut suite still works but I have heard of these problems with lion on other forums.

This is exactly why I don't want to upgrade to Lion. I'm so paranoid all my FCS3 apps won't work correctly.
 
yeah i think i just got over stoked on some of the new stuff and then realized like right after that i had just screwed myself pretty hard. I wanted to switch to media composer but avid doesnt support lion yet and wont for another few months at least.
 
Weird. CT works for me on lion. Best bet might be to reinstall fcs and then only downloading cinema tools rather than the entire studio.
 
Really? Thats good, i was almost about to skip out on lion completely cause of this.
 
I never said I like lion. Ever since I got it my computer has been a lot slower, and my imputed sometimes will temporarily freeze when I open fcp. Unless you really want updated graphics (they're pretty), stick with snow leopard.
 
You can't install the FCP studio's on lion. We've test downloaded it to several computers at work that didn't have Studio 3 on them, and it doesn't allow it to install unless you do the work around. Apple is falling to pieces. Whats next....no more towers?
 
i would suggest not getting lion until you are absolutely sure that it can support all the programs you need. Im almost considering downgrading back to snow leopard for the time being.
