Anyone ever heard of turning apple cider in alcohol by leaving it in the sun or freezing it or something? i heard something about it but don't really know anything

i really wanna try like smushing up a bunch of grapes and putting it into a bottle for like 20 years, and when im like 40, open it up and sip some wine

making wine only takes a week, my friends dad is making 250 gallons in there garage and its supposed to be done, actually it might have taking a month but either way so sick

ahahah little bit but one of my science teachers was talking about it and i was kinda a little too stoned to remember what she said....prolly a bad idea to tell a bunch of teenagers that

You have to add an enzyme that will convert the sugar into alc. I would guess (with no knowledge at all) that using yeast would work. We have a ton of cider right now at my house, I should get on that.

Also, making wine is pretty easy, if you have the right kind of grapes. Anyone with a hops in thier backyard can also pretty much just make thier own beer, as I plan to next fall.

Ya man you need an enzyme. You can make it outa molasis and something. Thats why we taxed molasis back in the day, to fuck over the south cuz they were making too much booz.

After it expires it should ferment. The cap will blow off I know. I remember seeing a behind the music on Huey Lewis and the News and he said he had it perfected.

And a funny fermented fruit story. We have a tree with all these little berries. Every year once they've been on the trees for awhile they ferment and the birds eat them and get WASTED. Their are all these little robins and stuff stumbling around my yard. Its funny.

Key ingredients include number of sugar sources to produce ethanol and yeast - that special enzyme you dudes are talking about.

so what are we really talking about here. just leave it out until it ferments alot or are there outside ingredients u have to get

get a jug of your fav juice, add a bit of yeast to assist the conversion of sugar to alcohol (most juice with have yeast in it but a little more will help).

make sure your jug is air tight, you need the presure.

store in a nice worm place.

you want to figure out some way to slowly let a little pressure out of the jug because you dont want the thing to blow.

whats happening is the Sugar (glucose) is turning into Alcohol , Carbon Dioxide and Energy (ATP)

you also want to make sure that if you are using a bottle other that what your drink came in that its really clean and that the juice gets minimal exposure to air. you dont want and bactiria getting in to your brew because the warm temp and pressure plus the sugar is bactirias fav hang out.
