Im in the process of pickin up some 05/06 chronics. I'm stuck between ordering a 167 and 172. I'm about 6 feet tall and about 145 pounds. aftter i order my skis i need to know where to mount them also. i was thinking true center but thats prolly no good for all mountain. thanks for the advice
 
both are way too smalll for you you need higher 70's low 80's and if you are getting true center the skis is going to feel shorter
 
yea i have the same skis. im about 5'7" and 120 i got the 167's and i wish i had gone bigger. go for the 177's and mount them true center it wont be bad for all mountain and they will feel shorter at true.
 
i have my 167 chronics at true center and they ski better then i expected out of the park but when it comes to the icey stuff they get pretty scary and hard to control.
 
ok well there r only 172's at the site that im looking at (good deal at 219) so should i not go for that? and im in east coast and i face alot of ice so -2?
 
that's where i recommend for an all mountain/park ski, look around and see if you can find the 177, if it's 300 or under it's a good deal for chronics.
 
ok thanks for the help and im gunna look for those 177's and im really not looking to spen over 250 but ill look. the 172's will be my last resort. i like skis a little small anyway easier to control
 
can anyone show me some good sales on chronic 177's then? ill be mostly in the ark i just need something to handle the slopes when i ski with my fam
