way different skis, the chrinic is woodcore, the thruster foam. Chronic uses sidewall construction/ THruster cap ski. PLus the chronic is alot stiffer. If you like a stiff park ski get the chronic. If not I still wouldnt get the thruster,perhaps a dumont (woodcore).
