chronics chip?

ok so i got my chronics last week they r totally awsome n i love them to DEATH.. they r the best ski i have ever had no questions asked.. one problem on about the second day o found a chip of my edge no big deal not like i care its wear and tear but today when i got back from skiing there was a chip on my front tip. so at this point ive got 2 chips on my edges (not my base) ive skiied on them for 1 week and i have no clue how the hell i got a chip on my tip makes no sence.. is this normal for the chronics to chip or should i try getting warrenty of them?

are you saying that litle bits of edge came out? from this supposed ''bomb-proof'' ski, without skiing any rails? warranty, my friend.

ok thanks a lot all i e-mail the line in canada n they told me to take them to the store and try and get new ones. It was only one the one ski that they got all chipped so there might have been a problam with it. It just weird cz all the other skis i had never did that but then again they are all a totally different ski.. thanx

I think minor chips like that are just cosmetic, if you start to have chunks taken out THEN you've got something worth warrantying.

well hes the deal i took they back to pacific boarder/ comar n he said it was my fault cz of me crossing my skis (for tricks) so hes calling line back and hes gunna see if he can send them in but i dont really want my skis gone for 4-6 weeks so i dunno if im gunan aworry about it but thats the deal thanx a lot all

skis chip, theyre all gonna do it.. line have a soft top coat on alota their skis. you really shouldnt complain to wherever you bought them becuase then your wasting the outfitters money just becuase you hit some rocks branches or ice..not to mention a huge chip causer is.. your other skis edge

 
I think people are mis-reading what she said. There are not chips in the topsheet, which IS a cosmetic problem that happens to all skis. It's the edges which are chipping, which is very different. I've ridden my 1080 on rails maybe 20 days and there are still no actual chips out of them. That being said, the edges chipping a little bit might not be enough to warranty them. If the chunks are big or the edges start ripping out, then you'll definately have a claim.

so, are the actual edges comeing out? if that is the case, they are probably defective, seeing as the chronics edges are huge
