Chronic wide vs. k2 seth vicious

I'm 6'3'', 185 lbs. i need a good park ski for this comming season. I'm looking at the new chronic wide 187 and the seth vicious 189. which one will be the better park ski and the all around better performer? what's the difference betweeen the two skis? (i ski mainly in the park)

i dont no much about the two skis, but if i were u, since you are so big, go with the vicious, and then if u ever get pow u can hit it up and 180 a big cliff into pow

no me gusta acls

idk id go with the chronic wide since the regular chronics do well every where im guessing the wides would be pretty much the same

I'm riding 05 pistols and I'm about your size, minus and inch and a few pounds. Supposedly they're beefing up the seth vicious and making it a little stiffer which is sick cause that's my only complaint with the pistols. I ride them december through april in colorado and they rock. They definetly take some getting used to on any days less than perfect on groomers - they're wide (95mm under foot) and super floaty but can be ridden anywhere. I don't know much about the chronic wides so I'll leave that opinion for someone else.

a bad day'll make you really notice ones this good and that'll make things a little better understood - blackalicious

Maybe go with this year's Pistols instead of the Vicious - the Vicious might be too stiff for park. Like I said to you in that other thread though, try to demo and flex them first and see what you think. I'm your size and pretty sure I'm getting one of the three I've mentioned.

the vicious are fucking stiff, the chronics are much softer...but they dont really compare...the sets are realy more of a all round ski....but i dont think it will perform well in the park, personaly

other possiblities:

Liberty Reaper 186

Armada ARV 185

Those 2 just came to mind, both sick skis.

Have you skied/flexed both the Pistol and Vicious? IF so, would you say the Vicious is a lot stiffer?

And to anyone in the know: is the Chronic Wide pretty much identical to last year's Pollard, or is the flex any different?

fool, if you're skiing park then get chronic wide's. and skiing powder on a park ski isn't going to be complete HELL so just bite the bullet and buy park skis cause jibbin on pow skis is gonna suck.

because I like poop.

clearly they are two completely different skis. i think your just choosing those skis because you like the graphics. not a bad thing but still...

and i know whats its like to be over 6'

actually i don't really care about the graphics; im just sick of ending up with a shitty pair of skis that are too short and soft. i go to school in AR so i don't get many, if any opportunities to demo skis. I just want the CRAZIEST skis for the park w/my height and weight.

get some mojos in the longest length. they would be perfect for ya. i am basically the same hight and weight as you and i fucking love these skis so much.

He's right, graphics are nothing to do with it, it's just there's such a small selection for skis over 185cm that aren't huge in the waist. It's pretty much just Chronic Wides, Pistols/Vicious, Reaper 186 or Mojo 90. I don't trust the Liberty's durability and the Mojos are the stiffest of the lot from what everyone says, so it is pretty much between the Pistol/Vicious and Chronic wide for big guys like us. If you ski mostly park, definitely get the Chronic Wide though. Hopefully I can afford two pairs this season so I reckon Chronic Wides mounted forward for park then some fatter skis for powder.

Go with the Seth Vicious.

pistols were sick in powder and great in park. I dont see the vicious being any different. And its only slightly stiffer. still a pretty soft ski
