i know sum people on this site chrochet and i was wondering a few things. Is it easy?? how long does it take to learn?? is it hard to make beanies??

my little brother has been doing it for about a year, and hes turning out some cool hats and whatnot... it didnt take him too long to figure it out.

i think the easiest way is to have someone who knows how to do it well teach you once or twice, or get one of those books that shows you the different stitches.

^I could not have said it better. It's easy, takes about 3 hours to learn, and it's not hard to make hats.

Only thing, I would have somebody teach you rather than trying to learn from a book. I guess it's possible, just not easy.

it doesnt even take 3 hours too learn. there 3 steps. the beginning of a headband, the beginning of a toque and the basic stitch.

i find it way easier than knitting and its way faster. you cant do as many patterns though

heidi makes such dope headbands and hats. but yah i just started and it didnt take to long at all. i just need to figure out how to make hats now. all i can do is headbands

 
im a pro knitter and ive become so accustom to knitting. so i tried to crochete and i was holding it wrong and i couldnt learn. it was like a bad dream. but i am happy with knitting cause i make bad ass stuff. hells ya biatch.

I tried to learn..don't use online guides they suck. I figured out how to make the first row of stiches, but I couldn't figure out how to make a new row. Someone want to try and explain?

crochet cult and this is ski gabber silly. but its mad easy and it takes liek a day to make ur first hat. but its soo much fun and it uses up time that is wasted
 
my little sister has this thing that makes hats by just wraping the strings around pins in a fancy way and they are dope! i made one in about 15 mins but i dont think you can do individual designs other then stripes
 
yes its very easy, takes a while when you first start maybe 5 or 6 hours if your double up the yarn. I highly recomend knitting though. Hats that are knitted turn out so much better then crocheted hats, and its just as easy.
